Whoops, missed that.
Well, why wouldn't a Mac recognise 32TB? Of course it will, however, you only get 32TB of usable storage if you configure that device as JBOD or RAID0 (which is bonkers).
But to be honest, the probability that everyone here has got a Mac with that very unit, so that he can tell you specific details is almost zero.
So your best bet is to call the Dulce and ask them anything you want to know.
For $5000 (does it actually include drives? If not, add another $3000) I definitely wouldn't buy that thing without knowing every little detail about it.
In this particular case I was planning on using RAID 5, but the Mac would still need to be able to handle managing 32TB of data.
I am in the process of researching this device and several other mass-storage solutions. This very thread is actually a part of my research because crowd sourcing on a board like this is great for solving a complex IT problem.

Is it as sporadic as it looks at 11am in my town? It does look like it could give details on any street, though. That would be better than the FM traffic or even the DOT/camera based traffic used for most things. Esp during road construction when side streets with no other data accumulation become thoroughfares for the summer.
they have had crowd sourced apps that do this in the app store. they were useless. and i'm not going to send data to the crowd database while i'm driving with my kids in the car. illegal and dangerous

the most hilarious thing though is that the new slim 360 comes with a "Kinect - port" ... wh-h-what ? so the installed userbase of 30-40 millions is essentially worthless ?... seriously that's such a obvious ridiculous error ... yo ucan't make this **** up
It is a power port. The new 360 has that port so you can just plug the Kinect camera into it alone. If you have an older 360, it will connect by USB, while needing a power connection to the wall. Kinect is compatible with every 360, new or old.

If a teacher somewhere here in Europe would allow himself to seize private property, it would be a scandal and the teacher will most likely loose his job - rightly so. If it isn't like that in USA - then I am, frankly, shocked that a country which is supposed to be build on democracy is permitting such crude violation agains the basic constitutional order.
There are things like laws and basic rights (one of which is private property ownership). The school should not and can not "enforce school rules" by committing crime such as illegal property seizure. If using a laptop is agains the rules: you put the child out of the class and call his/her parents. If the child is playing with his phone during his exam, you fail him and call his/her parents. This is how the things should be done in a democratic, law-governed order.
To make things clear: the only cases when the property can be seized are: a) the property caries a clear and immediate danger (weapon, etc.), b) the property is not legal (drugs, alkohol in hands of a minor etc.), c) there is a court order permitting the seizure. Confiscation of a laptop is illegal and a criminal act under ANY law known to me. Sadly, people still insist on that "teachers can take stuff" thing, which is nothing more then a relic from old european teaching system. Interestingly enough, Europe has long moved ahead, yet judging from responses in this thread the USA still seem to miss the times of parental despotism.
I'm sorry to have to re-iterate my previous comment, but you're wrong and don't understand what you are talking about. I live in Europe (UK) and the law is very clear in that teachers have the power to confiscate items irrespective of its legal status, they also (believe it or not) have the power to search a students bag if they suspect inappropriate or illegal items are being taken on to school premises.
You may or may not like it, but i'm afraid what I state above is fact, it's law, in fact it was even re-itterated recently by the schools minister during the height of the mephedrone fad (prior to it being banned), in that teachers could confiscate pretty much anything if they possessed good reason. It has also been contested many many times by angry parents demanding their child's phone is not to be confiscated by the teacher, in the end the parents have no leg to stand on, the law is not on their side.

Eh...I already got one...and if anyone else wanted a white iPhone 4 they could have gotten one - either buying a converted one or just do it themselves. I can understand if the phone launched in December...but now is just down right silly. I remember on the day preorders started for the 4 some people said they would wait...I don't think anyone could have anticipated 10 months though!

I honestly think that he can win the Ducati. Rossi is a great development rider, look at what he did for Yamaha. He showed his true talent when he left Honda to go to a lesser bike. He developed their 900cc bike, which was not competitive, and continued with the 800cc bike. The wall went up in the Yamaha garage because he felt he was not given the credit for developing the bike, and Lorenzo was taking all his notes without giving anything back. It is going to be interesting seeing Rossi and Hayden on the same team again especially because this time they are both World Champions. Jerry Burgess going with him to Ducati will also help immensely. Still a Hayden fan from the 900cc days (yes he cried a lot when he won) so I'll be watching MotoGP more to see if Rossi can help Hayden out.
Secretly a Spies and Edwards fan too.

Completely agree with you.
Rossi is one of a kind, no question about it.
It was already crazy when he was winning with Honda and Yamaha, and I just can't start to imagine how crazy it'd get with Ducati.
If they can get the bike up to par, as far as reliability is concerned, with the japanese manufacturers, then yeah, I say it's not a done deal, but it'd definitely be possible.
I am a Mike Doohan fan myself. Grew up watching the guy :) ...

I'm really sick of the 3D gimmick trying to make a comeback. We can only see in 2D. All the "3D" can do is trick us into havung depth perception on a flat screen.

...that guy "Scott" who shared the feature demos with Steve was a very good speaker and presenter - perhaps Steve's sucessor?
How dare you suggest such a horrid thing
But now that I think about it, I'll probably see Steve's death on CNN sometime in my lifetime. But let's at least hope he'll have a chance to retire first.

Are you just making this up as you go along? The lid on the 13" MBA is no thicker than the 11" AND it has thinner bezels. I also fail to see how thinner bezels would have any effect on the keyboard size or the number of USB ports.
From a mechanical strength standpoint, the wider bezel may be necessary. It would be a nightmare for Apple to release such a thin laptop screen if users had to worry about it cracking under normal use. With time, new thin screens may be developed that need less support.
I can't imagine Apple would have made the bezel any bigger than necessary. Maybe with the SB or IB release they will expand the screen sizes (with smaller bezels). That is my hope! That would call for an immediate upgrade from my standpoint. :)

This just in: orders will ship in the order they were received despite the 4-5 vs. 3-4 week estimates. Meaning, if you ordered an iPad 2 yesterday & received a 4-5 week ship estimate, you will get yours before someone who just now ordered one and received a 3-4 week estimate.
This also just in: estimates are not exact.

I'd like to know if it will run on my last-gen 24 inch iMac (The cheaper 24 inch), before I commit. Portal 1 runs fine (without any fancy stuff).
Anyway, the whole idea of a FPS where you don't quite 'shoot', is brilliant IMO. Best game ever :)
