and did anybody notice that the ICE is changing its track. They are now charging these folks of stealing ID's instead of the normal illegal charge. Ultimately this is opening up the way for local law-enforcement to charge people not on immigration violations but ID theft. This is pretty innovative and must have some political backing somewhere.

My 140 was approved in 2007 ,but today i got email from USCIS ,

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.
BTW I recently applied for EAD extension.

Is it possible to track 140 without the receipt notices.
Did you pay using your check? If so, I heard in this forum that they print receipt numbers on the back of the checks. I don't know if that helps.

Please enlighten me. What constitute a proof of immigrant intent?
Filing of:
1. LC
2. I-140
3. Medicals
4. I-485
etc...
I am confuse. Please explain.
I-140 is Application for Immigration petition. To apply for 485 you have need to have 140 approved/pending or should be filed concurrently. Medical is required as part of 485.

I am working for company A under H1-B visa and my PERM was approved early this year and my I-140 (EB2) is pending. I summitted I-485 last week since the PD is current again. Almost the same time, I moved to another department in the same company because of company reconstruction. The job seems to be having different requirements(>50% difference). I have a couple of questions:
1. Within how long I need to inform my company lawyer and then USCIS that my job changed within the same company?
2. What are the concequences if I do not inform my company laywer about my job change? Will USCIS know this in the future and deny my I-140 and I-485?
3. Will my pending I-140 get denied since my job requirement changed (if my company lawyer inform USICS)?
4. What are the possible outcomes for my I-485 under this job change situation?
5. Is that possible that I just stay there as nothing happened and wait for USCIS response to my I-140 and I-485?
6. What can be done in order to avoid a new PERM and new I-140? I really don't want to start all over again since who knows what the PD will be after Oct. this year...
If your company is ok with giving you a letter sticking to your original duties you should be fine, there is no need to inform USCIS about it. I know it amounts to misleading but in your situation that is the best you can do.

Thanks guys for advise and kind words. Unfortunately, I did not apply for AP assuming I will get it stamped as was the case in 2005 when I had no problems.
Any possibilty of applying for AP now?

As far as I know you must be in the US to apply for AP. But even if you could apply it probably won't serve your time interests since it takes at least 3 months to get it processed; and these days it would probably take up to 4-5 months. I applied for AP in November, I still haven't received it.

Here is a hypo situation, which I am sure we will be interested to know.,
What happens to a Wife's status on EAD, if the husband's 485 is in trouble, when both are working on EADs. Isnt her case independent once she also applied for 485/AP/EAD, or will there be a dependency,

After QGA and IV and all of us sending so many faxes etc, they did not even mention about EB visa issue in the SJC.
You are talking about a radical chnage in GC.
Get real. Get real. Let us get out of this child like proposals.
Obviously the efforts of us, IV and QGA have not been sufficient. I am not
in the least balming anyone. I for one feel IV has done exemplary work.
But the critical question is do we need to do anything different ?
Core memebers of IV, ragz4u et al, do you think we need to take a harder look and see if we are on the right path ? Did something not work as expected ? I read in one of the core memebrs post that IV members are in DC talking to senators office. Did senators office play ignorant in the SJC after being sympathetic to us ? What baffles me atleast, is the total
apathy and seeming ignorance to our issue on the part of senators. After all

Our PD : Dec 22nd 2003, EB2 India. It was pre-adjudicated on Sept 18th 2008.
My petition was approved 4 months back, after calling 100 times USCIS.
In my wife's case we spoke with IO on Sept 4th.
Created Service Request on 5th Sept.
During September 2nd week spoke to IO, IO sent an email to IO who is looking at petition.
During September last week we got Service Request generic response "Wait 180 days" which I have seen 2 times in my case .
On Sept 29th sent 7001 form to Ombudsman. Ombudsman office might have received the application on or before 1st October.
October 2nd 2009 my wife's petition approved.
So if your case is genuine case problem. Don't waste your time calling Immigration officers. Send 7001 form to Ombudsman's office.

I'm curious what it is you are trying to achieve?
Generally, you find zooms are non-linear - the farther towards the "long" end, the more compressed the scale becomes.
If you are wanting to repeated set the zoom to a specific length, I'd suggest a card that has horizontal bars. Draw them at whatever length you determine is a focal-length of interest, so that it fills the entire width of the frame. Do this at some standard distance - such as holding the card at arm's length. Zoom out/in until the desired bar is full-width.
This is hardly accurate if you want precisely "x" mm length, but at least it should allow repeatedly going back to a particular setting, or close to it.

Just noticed that my lawyer has attached marriage certificate of my co-worker in the dependendent's petition. I am waiting for the receipt.
What are the impacts of this mistake? To compound the issue, my wife is flying out next week for a month to India.
Gurus any answers on this is deeply appreciated.
