Browse the disc in Explorer and look for a file called BootCamp.msi or BootCamp64.msi. Manually install that by right clicking on it.

I did, in fact, mean using JavaScript on page load to disable the user from changing the size of the textarea, not within my browser. It's like using CSS to disable the dotted border Firefox puts around links when they are active.
Form elements, and the divs that contain them, often need either fixed widths or have widths that are proportional to their containers.
Take Google (http://www.google.com). Depending on how the layout is set up (this is just hypothetical), resizing the search box would push those three links next to it off into oblivion if they were all in a div that was fixed or proportional to the page width. It doesn't matter if Safari "dynamically redraws the page" since the div would still be calculated to be the same. Worse yet, depending on its overflow attribute, they could be pushed onto a new line.
I'd really not like to see Safari become the next IE 5. It already has its share of JavaScript bugs. This would just mean us designers would have to spend that much more time envisioning what would happen if a user resized every form element on every page and incorporating it into our layouts. This is why I hope there's a way to disable it outright.
Funny, this was the feature from the list I thought would be most useful. In particular, it would be useful when posting to MacRumors-- I'd love to make this little box bigger...
I hear where you're coming from though. Hopefully Apple would honor CSS clues that the field should remain fixed-- for example if you've set up pixel accurate sizing, you probably don't want it resized.
If nothing else, remember that the user is the one that resized it, not the browser. Even if the other elements get shoved around and the layout made ugly, the user will have seen their actions responsible for pushing things around.

Not only has Apple’s mobile platform share been artificially cut down by separating out the iPhone alone, the other mobile device makers have had their share artificially increased, by lumping them all together! But since those devices vary in size, version and capabilities so much, they do NOT add up to a single platform in the way iOS does. Not for developers, not for device makers, and not for users.

I have the same minute plan, with the unlimited data plan, and a FAN - I had no trouble switching the messaging option over this morning.
Yeah, they still haven't gotten back to me. No idea what could be so hard about applying this to my account. I'll call them back in about a hour if I don't hear anything.

Again, have you read the thread? I wasn't aware, "It costs more to execute someone than keep him in prison for life," was a "bleeding heart emotional response." I also didn't think, "It's impossible to be 100% certain," was emotional either. Funny, to me, these arguments seemed pretty fact-based. The only one with an emotional response is you, demanding blood.
It's impossible to be 100% certain is a crap response, because in many cases it is 100% certain, and i've named a few already. Also, the whole financial issue is very debatable and i don't think anyone here has solid figures on it. The only reason it may cost more to execute someone is because of all the appeals and court costs, this can easily be fixed so execution is the most economical way. I'm not going any further into this because my stance that some people are unworthy of life won't change. Peace out girl scout.
I referred to this case in the human versus animal value thread when a few posters said that any human life has more value than any animal. They would save the life of either of these guys over any animal.
Are you frickin kidding me? I didn't participate in that thread and now i'm glad i didn't. Funny you mention it though, because i just watched this video and it brought tears to my eyes. Watch it, it shows how animals are more humane than some humans.

I am folding in windows with my gpu for the next week or so, or until twoodcc gets back, then I'll go back to os x. We will have crazy ppd (for us anyway :P) when he returns!! As least jav6454 is back now. :)
If all goes to plan, I will be building an Ivy Bridge computer when the chip comes out. But who knows when that is actually going to happen.
Ivy Bridge ain't got nothing on Bloomfield! :D:D:eek:
*sobs to death at realization of Ivy Bridge outdating Bloomfield*:o:(
At any rate, once twoodcc gets back I'll put in my remaining 5850 at -bigadv units at maximum clocks.

I would have rather let Osama bin Laden go undiscovered than torture someone to find out where he was.
But what if torturing a person who is involved in the plans of a terrorist attack could prevent thousands of deaths?
Torturing would never be a good action, but it is like killing someone to defend yourself, killing is bad, but the result of killing saved your life.
In the case of torture, it is the government defending its people (country). If it can be avoided better, but I would rather authorize torture instead of letting attacks happen.
EDIT: As with everything, every single case needs to be analyzed separately.

The Financial Times didnt have this new revenue stream before Apple offered it to them. Why wouldnt apple share profits? To me its more about keeping companies away from data collecting on their prey...i mean peons... i mean customers.
And this is why HTML5 versions of these types of apps are coming. At which point it will become more clear that Apple did not really offer anything.

Now if we could only get Super Mario Bros, I would be in heaven.
Remember that nostalgic mushrooms and fire flower? LOL, I would love to see the entire suite....Super Marior Bros. 1, 2, 3, and all of the subsequent ones on the subsequent Nintendo consoles.....
I wish but it'd never happen. Unless Nintendo's hardware stopped selling like Sega and they had no choice but to license their properties!
And without gamepad support the experience would be just horrible.

Why does it take a media storm for Apple to open up on an issue ? It would be so much better if they more forthcoming and frank before an issue snowballs.
Why should they talk out of their butts without getting a clear picture about what is going on.
Obviously they immediately started gathering the facts.
Had they released a statement like: "We are looking into it!" the media would still not have been satisfied. They like blood and frenzy. The more half truth and the more lack of facts the better . Can we scare people? GREAT!!
May I suggest to be worried about the health effects of "negativitis" for yourself instead of what Apple is doing or not doing.
