Take it as a compliment. There is nothing wrong in what Joe Biden said. If you watch the last second of the video, Joe has both his hands on the Indian guy's shoulders and I'm sure he must have said good things after that as well.
I have a word of advice for you. Dont use TOI (Times of India) style headlines to mislead people into reading your post. If you are one of those Indians who has an innate desire to look at everything with a shade of pink glasses you should reconsider living here. Airlines dont fly one way from India to US. You can always take the flight back home. 16-hour workdays, a fantastic work life balance, and all basic amenities await you in the land of kamadhenu (the sacred mythological cow that gave the Hindu Gods everything they needed for a happy life)

There is a seperate thread on this. Look it up.
My 2 c:
- Stay away from Murthy. They've screwed up at least 2 cases that I know of. And their response is slow.
- Thomas Fan in MD: Run like you've seen the devil. I have no idea why malpractice suits has not been filed against him yet.
- Clark Trevor in CA - Guy is awesome but expensive.
- Ellen Krengel in CA - Decent.
- Gowda in MI - Slow, inefficient.
- Rajeev Khanna - seems to be good, efficient and responsive.
- Jon Wu, CA - Slow as hell but knows the ins/outs

hi,
where do we get to read the receipt number from the back of the check ?..i see so many ppl write that they cud get the receipt number from the back of the check and with that the cud track the fate of receipt notice. The back of my cleared check has so many numbers but they are all overlapping and unreadable.Do any1 else has the same issue?
can any1 tell what is the window period b ween check clearance and recipt notice?
Thanks.
Hi,
Did you issue just one check for all 485/EAD/AP or did you issue seperate checks. Further did you issue just one check for your family application as that may be why there are so many numbers at the back of the check.
You should call USCIS to get all the receipt numbers.

isn't the date ... Apr 01 2004 according to sept bulletin
(not jan 1 2004)
If ur EB2 and PD older than Jan 01, 2004 probably you have chance to refile again. During this crunch time don't trust USPS/UPS. Always use fedex...
Hope for the best..

Real Life :
A friend of mine who went to India's premier institution - IIT in India and then to IIM worked for one of the fortune 100 companies here in the US.
He got married and decided to move to UK because his equally qualified spouse being on a dependent Visa could not work due to the obsolete rules.
Both husband and wife are well on thier way to permanent residency in UK.

My wife and I did our medicals last July and applied for our I485. However, my wife was pregnant so the doctor decided to not do x-rays and some vaccinations and inform USCIS it should be done after the pregnancy.
Now after we had the baby, do we have to wait for an RFE to come asking us for the missing part of the medical? Or can we be proactive and go complete the medicals and send it to USCIS?
Our PD and RD are close to becoming current, so we may benefit if the second scenario is possible.

the underlying problem, is not that american kids are not smart or hard working.
it is that science/math/engg does not pay. it does not pay because the wheelers/dealers/fixers/middlemen/bullshitters make the money.
american kids work hard when at law school/med school/mba. because those jos pay. as an engineer you are screwed. as a phd likely unemployed.
so, american kids are not dumb. they are far smarter than you think. they are taken the correct decision in the circumstances.

If you think the price is to go up, then you can buy them at current market value of 26 and hold them. You don't have to pay 30 for it :-)
Options are only valuable if they are more than the exercisable price, if not the paper is worth nothing.
Why do you want to buy the options at that price? Can't you just buy it from the open market and that way option will exxpire and there will be that many less open shares.

What I understood from Ron's article:[LIST]
Personally, I'm Pessimistic... being in India-EB3, that's not a state of mind... it's a lifestyle.
That was absolutely Hilarious...It takes an EB-3 to understand that statement.
Awesome...

Hi,
I found from lawyer that there is no such thing called 10 days grace period after your last date of your H1. That is a big misconception. You can stay only in this country if you travel outside US and stayed more than 60 days. and that is also that rule applys to for first 6 years only.
for example, if somebody travels to outside country for 3 months within the first 6 years of their h1. and if his/her h1 is completing today than thay can use their 3 monthns period after 3 months form today. and they can only this at end of their first 6 years expiration of their h1. thay cannot use this period if they are on 7th or more years on extension.
after end of your h1 (does not matter after 6 years or 10 years), if you stay in US for 179 days than, your overstay is considered as illigal stay but there do not consider as violation and that does not count if you try to come back in US again. if your overstay is more than equals to 180 but less than a year than you are baan form entering US for 3 years. and if overstay is more thatn 1 year than you are baan from enterting US for 10 years.

Some of us went through the backlog centres of labor that took 24+ months. So we all understand the trauma associated with the wait. :(

I'll join..I'd only have to go back to Canada. I can understand why the thousands on here would not. However, Canadian permanant residency is easier to get, anyone applying for it?
