I don't miss the happy mac, but I think that is a great avatar. Excellent use of animation, and incorporation of the 1,000,000.

Well, more like 175K sold... another 175K given away free. :D
They are all still sold. The phone manufacturer doesn't give them away free.

I am awaiting my new Ipad and I will be putting a screen film on when I receive it. My question is : when the Ipad is sent out does it have any screen protector on and will the screen be basically dust free when I receive it and therefore would this be the best time to put the new screen film on it.

What exactly are you using to generate this "sound"? Mainstage can use any AU plugin so a bit more information is needed to help you out.

I imagine it's linked to the spy not working (and the attachments server being funky)...

If it can be avoided better, but I would rather authorize torture instead of letting attacks happen.
I'd rather let attacks happen than authorise torture.

Why do you need to disable something you don't want to use? Can't you just not use it?
Are you afraid you might accidentally change your mind someday and need to prevent yourself from doing this in the future?
Also, many BBS's that I use offer me the chance to change the text-reply field size in my personal preferences. The window can be any size and the page looks just fine. Pretty much ANY text entry field has to be built into a page in such a way that changing the size just pushes things below it lower, just in case a browser draws it larger than planned. I can't think of any sites that don't work that way. This box I'm using on Macrumors right now follows that rule. If I were to drag it large nothing would "break." The stuff below it would just move down.
Can you give any examples of a page that fails this test? I can't think of any offhand.
I think he's talking about making it so people who use the web pages he designs can't resize the textareas (supposedly ruining his designs). IMHO this is a non-issue since when the user first sees the page they will se it as it should be, if they want to make a textarea bigger so they can type in it comfortably then it's their own choice.

think what you want ... this is not going to court for a prosecutor ... this is an illegal eBay listing and will be resolved by eBay and PayPal ... can you stand that?
YES! EXACTLY! If you have read this entire thread than you know that I only posted to respond to someone that said he should be going to jail. Read my post above...I have no problem with the seller being adjudicated by eBay!!

Does anyone out there know how to change the system Fonts on Lotus Notes for Mac?
Yes... there's an application availabe on the Notes website that allows you to change the font size. It's called Notes Preference Editor.
And yes, Notes is much more than just a handicapped email system. It's also a handicapped calendaring system, a handicapped database, a handicapped information distribution system, etc.
And PGP isn't that simple to set up on a per-user basis (unless something has changed drastically in the last 3 years since I last looked at PGP?), and if a corporation has 40,000 users on email, that's a ******** of PGP setups to make. Beyond that.. your work email isn't your property. ;)

Just because someone hasn't left iPhone 5 in a bar this year doesn't mean we are not going to see iPhone 5 in June like we have seen every single iPhone before it (ok iPhone 3G slipped into July, but big deal). Apple is predictable people. I guarantee that we will see an iPhone 5 in June. And ofcourse Apple hasn't given a roadmap out, because they are keeping it hush hush this year.

Hi everyone. This is actually my very first post, saw this thread and thought why not. So, here's my first little creation. I originally used this button-like design for SADD at my school, and later swapped out the SADD logo with an Apple logo I did quite some editing with. Enjoy.

Let the battle commence!
Well you know, everyones got to do a little bit of kissing up now and then  ;) :D
Well at least you didn't do one of those tacky pics. :D
Honestly I would have been flattered if asked. But like LBJ, if nominated I would not run, if elected I would not serve (at least at this point). For as evident by my posts over the past few days, my new job and new outlook as to what I find important has changed. In the end I think that active members like myself also serve a purpose, as much as those that are in a mod status.
I am glad that we have a couple EU members as mods in some degree.

This is my first post. It takes a lot for me to stop being a lurker, but the idea that any user can resize a textarea on a site I design, dynamically redrawing the page, is among the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. This will break valid page layouts in new and unheard of ways. Designers make form elements a size and shape for a reason.
I look forward to finding a way using JavaScript to disable that feature the day that browser is released.
On the contrary, resizeable textareas are part of the CSS3 standard; Safari 3.0 will simply be the first mainstream browser to implement it. Once you try it, I promise you will not want to go back. It's really a non-issue, and I'm surprised anybody's complaining about it to the point they would disable this end-user feature using JavaScript. I'll just disable JavaScript on your site, then, buddy.
