I installed Windows 7 with Bootcamp.
Except for the initial installation steps, with reboots, Windows 7 does not shut down completely. I see the "Shutting down ...: message. Not sure if it will eventually shutdown or if there is a problem. If the latter, what's the fix?
Other than this, Windows 7 seems to be working okay.

The difference with intelligence and charisma is that they can affect your ability to do the job, whereas being black doesn't.

Backlit keyboard would take it to another level. Theres just something very awesome about the backlit keyboards. I dont need to look at the keys to type, I just like the esthetics of it all. I would also like to see current gen processors in a current gen model. The last thing that I could ask for would be edge to edge display with zero bezel around the display and trim up around the keyboard. Thats all extra bulk as far as Im concerned.

Surely it would be unfair to judge somebody by their intelligence because so much of it is down to parental intelligence and wealth; how much they can teach you and how much they can pay for the best educations. (D's A)
In theory I suppose we should only judge people for things which are entirely their own doing; things which are neither a product of their genes or upbringing. But then, taking those away, what remains?
Not much really. In practice, I fear people are at least in some part judged for merits in which their efforts play a smaller part. Like natural intelligence, or sporting ability. Is this wrong? Perhaps on some abstract moral level, but I think it's probably permissible unless someone wants to call me a senseless bigot.
You bring a fresh perspective to these boards. Actually discussing an issue rather than getting worked up in a tizzy and shouting platitudes. ;)

Does nobody realise that you have to support the exFAT format (from Microsoft, currently NOT supported on OS X, and has to be licensed by Microsoft) to be able to use more than 32 GB? (or the up to 2 TB). Otherwise if you format it with the old formats you are stuck on the same limits as you would with ad SDHC card.
The way I see it, it's just the controller which supports SDXC, but the OS doesn't as of now. So nothing to really be happy about for the moment except that you have technology on board you can't take advantage on.

The high vantage point and the stuffed animals on the table really make this shot. It's a picture with contrasts on many levels: white/black, obese/gaunt, tough/cuddly, nonconformist/mainstream, just to name a few. Very nice address to the theme, Keleko.
I would probably crop in tighter, since the empty chair and so much railing is not adding anything to the image. You could come in at the top, left, and right, and get us that much closer to this eccentric couple.
^^ Interesting literal interpretation of the topic. The couple are so alike and different at the same time. Looks good from the hight point of view.

I completely agree about the similarities making a nice counterpoint to the differences. I probably wouldn't call this one a "literal interpretation" of contrast, though, since it goes so far beyond just being dark versus light. (I guess I think of contrast at its most basic as involving tonality.)

Do not take it wrong, the English was not correct, he wanted a translation, but he asked what did the woman say.
Well, then, let me make you happy. You're going to be the last person of the day, so why not... :)
With regards to aforementioned website containing a video clip of a Japanese woman demonstrating a stunningly simple technique wherein in three rapid moves she folds a t-shirt to a certain predefined size and shape;
AND WHEREAS she gives a narration of the process in the Japanese language;
AND WHEREAS MikeTheC is not literate in Japanese and therefore cannot make any direct use or sense of the spoken Japanese instructions;
AND WHEREAS this thread, having nothing really to do with the ancient Japanese art of folding t-shirts, but yet heavily discussing Japanese commercials and Apple's renewed presence in them;
I would humbly request that, should someone here have an over-abundance of time on their hands, time which is of such sufficient abundance that they cannot otherwise fill it, and is suitably and/or sufficiently bored, AND who happens to be fluent in Japanese, if it would please or in some small way entertain you, please enter by way of the standard electronic form, written in English, the substance of what the afore-referenced Japanese instructor said as she gave the afore-mentioned and afore-referenced instructions in Japanese.
Thank you.

and in september iPad 3 will move to #1 spot putting iPad 2 in second and original iPad in 3rd. And in 2012 iPad 4 will move to first...but i digress.
First off, leave my post alone.
Secondly you will see iPad 3 as early as September if competition is stiff. Only if iPad 2 retains major market share will Apple will delay release of iPad 3 until 2012, thus extending revenues from iPad 2.

Is there a tutorial or something that explains all the formatting so I can do everything manually without trial and error?

New day, same old issues.
In speeches, less emphasis on Bin Laden, and more focus on "evil-doers" in general.
That's too vague to sway the mindless masses. The Government will find someone else to demonize and have the public whipped into another bloodlust frenzy for his head. "The more thing changes, the more the stay the same," as the old saying goes.

Speaking of such things, I have seen the Barnes and Noble Nook. Ugh. Ick. Yuck. Disgustipating.
no offense.. but how old are you? the nook does a great job of being an ereader.. why would you expect it to be more than what its true purpose is? it sounds like you're over exaggerating things, as i've seen no issues like what you mention

Wait....there are rules...but then apple can bend them as they see fit?
The rules should apply to all or to none.
Just another reason I really hate apple and cant wait for jobs to leave.

Really this is stupid. Think about it buying a mac is like buying a high end sports car and buying a windows machine is like buying a low end junk car. Now don't get me wrong they both get you from point a to point be but let's face it it's funner and sexier to drive the sports car. NO I know fixing the sports car may be more prier but lest face it you really won't need to fix it very often and in most cases you might get comped on the repairs. Now the low end car over time will need to get fixed and I know it may be cheaper but all the little stuff adds up. I am just saying.

He had a liver transplant.... Alcohol is a no-no after that!
This is true only if the transplant was because of alcohol related reasons (IE, alcoholism) There are any number of other reasons why one could have a liver transplant, and in those cases, those people can have a drink like anyone else.
Thats not to say there isn't other medical reasons that Jobs isn't drinking. And if there is, it is unlikely to be related to the transplant.
Or.. Maybe he just didn't want to drink!?

oh, great. Just the thing aliens will use to find out where I am and abduct me again. Yeah, sure I had to opt in, but do you know how hard it is to say no to location features?! I mean seriously, don't they realize all the bad ways people, er 'others', can use technology like this.
If they get me again I'm
lol.. dang that sucks.

Yeah, there'll be a cheaper version of the S to replace the Arcade/Pro systems. It'll probably have a 120GB HDD and maybe even be glossy white, as white Kinects have been spotted.
