I disagree. His show is widely watched, so this is one more avenue where a small effort can have disproportionate results.
akred, Thank you for helping to promote this petition. I think that when we have enough signatures we must also release this letter in parallel to media outlets while we send it to CNN execs. This will make the folks at CNN more answerable to this petition. However in order to do this we require the backing of IV core and utilize their contacts with the media. An individual like you and me can only go so far. Backing of IV core will provide us with maximum traction to evince response from CNN.

a friend of mine was involved in a rolling bumper car accident ... the lady comes back year and a half later and files a case aganist him..his insurance lawyers fought the case for him.... they won..
The question is..how fast was the car on impact...check with your iinsurance lawyers they may be able to assist you...
dont even think of running away..they issue arrest warrants for traffic ticket violations sometimes...so urs is a little serious..;)

You are saying new OBAMA govt. in many of your postings. Are you his election agent?. This forum is not for any party affiliations. Election is yet to start. Democratic party is not officially announced their candidate. All powerful President Bush is tried hard to help immigrants. I dont think they will stamp like that...If you show only AP they stamp I-94 based on its expiry says AOS pending or If you show only H1-B visa on PP they stamp I-94 based on Visa expire date..
But showing both at POE doesn't not give any value and also it might confuses IO..

No one know what goes in the consulate office but what you can do is call the local vfs office and tell them what happend and ask them to see if the consulate has handed out ur PP to the couriour company. They might have some information for you.

That is correct, 9 months and then I will return to my country for good.
I am waiting for the day when we get the GC , we will tear it into pieces and throw in front of consulate.

Do what you got to do and let others do what they think is right. I don't think there is one Success mantra here...because we are yet to be successful.
Honestly, I agree with you...but the underlying fact is some people get motivated for calling the senators and some for anonymous fax/email/flowers and some for rallies. There is definitely a subset who does all...but unless you are a Gandhi/MLK/JFK/Mandela....it's hard to drive people in one route.
Just a thought...

we do all of the above and more. if you like something more than the other that's perfectly fine and dandy. but if we can't collect a critical mass for an action, we lose effectiveness and shoot ourselves in the foot.

You can keep changing employers once your I-140 is approved. You need to restart ur GC process but you can keep ur PD (if not revoked) and get a 3 year extension immediately based on the Approved I-140.
Sure it's not the best case scenario, but atleast you CAN do it. But for most married folk their spouses on H4 CANNOT work without EADs or waiting a year till the H1 quota opens. Even with the quota opening unless your spouse is into business or IT it is VERY tough to get an H1 for the spouse.
Letting h4s work in "non specific-skilled jobs" may actually work against us because they will be in direct competition with local people in those jobs and anti immigrant will be against it. I guess porting to h1 from h4 can be a good option and a feasable option.

Can we send another application just in case? Has anyone talked to their lawyer. As per USCIS, even if they send the application back, it might take 30 days to receive the application. (Understandable, since it is USCIS).

awesome just getting started on this thread...lets get our voices heard..please start calling guys....we need to make this happen....I know some of us feel why bother...but a little 2 min call wont take the bite out of your day...plus it is going to help the common cause that you visit this site for everyday...IV core is planning meticulously for these provisions and bills to be introduced...and now is the time for you the force the issue and give these bills some floor time and approval through house and senate...Please call..
