My GC was approved last month after a very long wait time. Currently I am working for company B on EAD (not the GC filing employer). The question I had was can I continue to work for company B on a part time basis and join company A (GC filling employer).
Company A has a 9 month probation period I am worried if i quiet company B and company A fire me later then I will be with out job.
So I can work for company A (GC filing employer) full time and at the same time work part time with company B.
So this way if company A does fire me during probation period I continue with company B :confused: on full time basis. Is this ok will it come to haunt me when I file for citizenship?

Hi,
As with many of the people around, my wife got her SSN last year. She has started working as a consultant on 1099 since early Jan 2008. So, there is no issue for the 2007 tax return. However, I have few questions regarding the estimated tax payment this year. Since this is the first time we have come across 1099 based employment, we are very confused about how to pay taxes.
As her employment is based on 1099, the employer is not deducting any taxes. I got the 1040-ES form from IRS website. These are the specific questions:
1. Does the Estimated tax voucher need to be sent in joint names? We file joint returns together but I work on W-2 and she works on 1099.
2. Does 1040-ES form need to be used for all the estimated Federal payments (Federal Tax + SSN Tax + Medicare Tax)? Or there are separate forms for sending the SSN and Medicare taxes?
3. I live in California so I will need to use 540-ES as well for the CA state tax payment, correct?

Why is VSC processing so slow..anybody in the same shoes waiting for processing from Vermont. There was a time a normal H1 processing was done in 2 months. Now I've heard it is taking upto 8 months...oh god!

I have EB2 i-140 approved with PD Dec. 05. I am planning to change the employer.. was just waiting to see if CIR gonna help.. but looks like its not. If I change job now, I will have to do labor, i140 once again!! might be able to maintain PD. .. my question is... I believe that in Octo. 06, new quota for GC will be available. What are the guesses that the PD will become current (at least for Eb2 India) in Octo 06?? Some educated guesses are highly appreciated.
I wish same. But it is 200% not possible. We are getting lot of Labour approvals from BEC's . If P.D dates stays as 2003 Jan it is great.
I think there is much possibility for more retrogression. It may go back upto 2002 Jan for EB2 also.

This is the wrong forum for you to ask this question. However, I know that (c)(9) is not correct on line 16 for your wife's case. (c)(9) is only for Employment Based GC applicants.
That is not true! (c)(9) is the right code for all pending adjustment of status applicants. See the instruction to Form I-765 here:

Miguy, check ERAS carefully- there are two places for your visa status: one- your curent visa and the other your visa status when you will join the residency, July 2008. For the second, you need to put EAD if you do not have it in had now. Most programs know what EAD is, but you may need to give an explanation to others...

The timing of this visa bulletin is suspicious. Right at the nick of time, when the senate is discussing increasing EB quotas, this news comes in. Plus they are saying that there will be forward movement, in the EB cut-off dates in the coming months to rhyme with the current negotatitions in Congress on CIR/ SKIL.
IV should not step behind in their legislation efforts. Even, if visa bulletin dates are current today, they might retrogress later, when the I-485 application starts to process (Current I-485 processing time shows applications processing as of Sept. 10, 2006, which is 8 months before). - Pre-approved labor dated 03/2004
- Filed 140 in 04/2007 and filed 485 in 08/2007. Got EADs as well
- RFE on 140 after 2 years waiting (in fact it was on the last day of 2nd year. In between, it was passed thru all the 4 centers and came back to same place where it was filed). Education mismatch and other stuff. Employer responded in 21 days
- 2nd RFE on 140 after 30 days - Education mismatch - Again responded
- There was no response even after 60 days, so we called and created a service request.
- Finally the 140 has been denied today. I did not get the notice yet. I'm thinking, it is because of Education mismatch
The labor was for 4years degree and I have 3 years degree + 1 year post graduate diploma with 8 years experience by the time filing 140. And I did my masters in US, but I got this after couple of months of I filed my 140.
Please advice what are options available for me.

Given the current sitiation, 2nd RFE is mainly on education because USCIS is not convinced with your 1st response. Your chances of success is slim (if you can prove the 3 +1 is in the same line of study) to none - Restart your GC. You are now paying the price for choosing the SL route.

Could you post a similar crop of a problem image?
First idea: put the lens to manual focus, and try that on a tripod. Perhaps the focus point got moved, and the camera is attempting to focus on black sky? This test would attempt to eliminate that.
On the other hand, with the changing size of the moon, the camera could be overexposing more than it did in your first example (if that turns out to be the case, I'll explain why, so you can avoid it in the future). :)

Schedule A visa is not available. Schedule A simply means that we are exempted from LC. All we need is to file I-140 concurrent with I-485/EAD/AP.
Our visa is also EB3.
Now, the question is whether we need to get July priority date or we can get an August priority date and also qualified under this scheme?

Chandu: I disagree with you. I think nobody complained on the website itself. People were unhappy with what it showed. The case status is incomplete and very abstract. I do not think anybody cared about navigation or buttons. Besides, it really they listened to the complaints, they would have fixed many more things before this thing. This would have been the last piece to do especially if they are having lack of workforce.
