Hi,
Unfortunatly , i lost my wallet contains EAD.
problem is , how much fees should i pay for the replacement card.
we filed 485 on july 2007 visa bulletin no. 107
and we (mine was H4) got EAD on oct 2007. i have a scanned copy of it.
I am confused whether to pay 180$ as per july visa bulletin no. 107 or
have to pay the current fees 340$.
2. If i pay as per new feese, still do i get the same 1 year validity card.
please help me for this

EAD/AP is personal choice. Employer can only govern what he has under his control - which is LC and I-140. He cannot chose to not allow EAD or AP, and you are not obliged to inform him. Good employers sponsor everything and the rest dont. But legally (i am not a lawyer though), they cannot do anything with you if you apply for EAD and keep it as a backup. Yes, if you chose to use your EAD to do extra work in addition to your employer's it may come against company policy. But if you intend to just keep it as a backup, there is nothing wrong..
Go to USCIS efile website and file it on your own (EAD and AP).

I am a July 2nd filer with PD of OCT 2006. I am planning to switch my employer using EAD. Should I notify USCIS with AC21? What is my best option? What is the risk?

This pretty much guarantees H-1 for small businesses. With the already reduced number of H-1 applications, you are a shoe-in for H-1 if you apply this year from a small company.

TRUE, until IV co-ordinates rally on specific dates.. we members need to have that momentum flowing...
I thank the idea of initiating and going about this so quickly. But if the IV or the majority of them here decide that they are going to hold rallies in San Jose/DC area, then I would not be able to participate since I don't see much representation in Denver/Boulder area.
I would appreciate that IV and/or its core members support the concept of sending more flowers/letters/cards etc.
Nothing of this kind is overdoing here.

Hi,
We talked to the DOL people. They said that since my wife didnt start working with them on H1 and never really worked with them we dont have a basis for claiming the 1500 dollars in filing fees. Do you think this is correct? If so what else do you think we can do on this case? Thanks for your reply.

My lawyer asked for separate checks for each application.. FP is always added to I-485 fees.. But since they issued EAD receipt for you and spouse, that means definitely 2 485s... Guess you need to wait for the receipts to get the missing receipt # or you can call USCIS...

If I have to resubmit, I will use USPS to the PO.Box My attorney uses Fedex and we get receipts on time.

this is a very good idea..but theres only one problem..we had gone to a blood donation drive to give blood..but were not allowed to because they do not take blood from people who have visited third world countries like India in the past 3 yrs.
so we can organise a campaign like this..but blood can be donated only by people who havent visited any third world countires in the past 3 yrs.

Some chaos is expected, particularly in busy terminals such as Delhi and Mumbai, given that "Airport authorities said they are still in the dark and are yet to gear up for these checks". So, it may be a good idea if those of you, who have just returned from India, share your experiences with this procedure; for example, the likelihood of facing stricter screening (or even a brief quarantine) if someone sneezes/coughs for any reason, or the "fitness certificate" forms that airlines are supposed to hand over to each passenger, etc.
I personally think this is nothing but a pay back time.. Remember when Bird Flu or SARS breakout happened, how US and other countries reacted and were screening people (travelers) from East.. In a way this "might" help in containing the virus but deep down this is just stupid ego.

When you file your returns your total income is only 100,000 which is below the taxable limits and therefor you will be returned all that was witheld. Some people split accounts and try to hide interest income. This is not advisable if you ever want to repatriate the interest income. Once you have payed required taxes on the interest you can repatriate any amount of interest income to the US. Many people use this as a source of regular income.

duties). That is a totally different job description and different category for labor.
Some useful info:
* If you are on H1 and job description changes (like u become a manager), H1

you are required to show proof of job position with job description corresponding to
that of approved labor. If your company is ready to do that (or u can get that somehow),

developer (or whatever) and for real, they perform totally different job functions (like
