One more additional question on this, say we open a trading account now and we buy shares in 2008 , but do not sell it yet (meaning no income was made in 2008), then will there be any impact or any additional filing to be made for 2008 tax returns, or how does stock trading relate to tax returns...

I suggest you use the most recent A# on your I-485, and relax.
The USCIS adjudicator has access to all the information s/he needs. They can use your Name/DOB/Citizenship etc. to find out all the A#s that have ever been assigned to you. In case there is a need to change or assign a new A#, they will figure it out.

One more question:
When we create a application can we add any member with in the same group. My friend and myself are planning to visit India during the same time. We both are in 8th year extension and work for different companies. Both of us have to get VISA stamped. Can we create in the same application(ofcourse we need to create new application for each one after you create for one person) so that when we want to change dates like prepone or postpone it will be easy for us to modify the appointment date in one click. As dates keep changing every day/hour it will be easy for any one of us to monitor the available dates and change. We can change the dates only once and if we want do it again we need to cancel the appt and create a new one.

There are several things that can save you a bit!
You can do balance transfer on your credit cards in US every year for the amount you usually save in a year.
So, say you save 25k in a year, take that much amount in balance transfer on a credit card here for one-time 4% balance transfer fee, transfer it to india and pay it in a year after you saved that much.
You can also take loan on your existing car for close to 5%.
I took HDFC home loan in india, and knocked out close to 25k every year from it by doing the above.

I was under the impression that balance transfer is usually from one credit card debt to another one but I did not know that it works like a cash advance too where you can borrow money. Can I borrow 50k from my CC and payback that amount in 2-3 yrs (with savings) without much interest?thanks again.

hopefully if we pay the $340 for EAD and $305 for AP for each person, we do not have to pay for it again until we get a decision on our GC.We just have to keep renewing these two without paying again..Please correct me if i am wrong.So its like pay one last time..hopefully.

TIme to make this site a paid site with tightly controlled information access and forum features available only to the members.
What is the purpose of increasing the membership is a majority are non contributing members. Doesnt money buys us much more then the membership numbers? Making this site a paid site will drive away most members but the remaining will provide a continuous revenue stream.

I had to live with a 70-300 Sigma that was f/3.5-5.6 for a long time. While I made do for sports and motorsports type stuff, my world opened up when I upgraded to a fixed f/2.8 zoom. Hold off a bit, if needed, and get a faster lens. You'll be much happier.
If you're mostly going to be doing landscapes and whatnot, the slower lens will work just fine.
