I'm going to go with the La Cie Firewire, without question. It matches Apple products, it gets decent reviews, and it seems fairly priced.

just to clear something up. This right now appears to be a text-based phone. I don't think Wu is talking about iChat AV functionality. Some other sites (of much, much less accuracy) have been claiming that the iPhone would be able to do videoconferencing and whatnot, but currently there isn't any good evidence to support this, and in my opinion it doesn't look like current 3G GSM cellular networks simply don't have the duplex bandwidth to deliver that kind of content. (and 4G is still a ways off)
This is why I think it is pointless to do it unless you are connected to an EV-DO revision A connection. I don't need another "awesome phone" regardless of how well it syncs with iLIFE. I would much rather be able to travel and show somebody what I see, rather than talk about it or send a photo.

In 5 years time, Kindle OS will have a greater market share than android I think.
Really stop lying to yourself. Android is a powerful mobile OS that can be adapted to many situations. Its not going anywhere for a while. Kindle will not outsell it as kindles direct competition the Nook (an android device). Android will save people money in the future. Why right your own set of code for a cash register when you just build it on top of android.

I really liked this one. I've tried many other apps that gather the Album Cover art for iTunes songs/albums but this is the best by far.
It's called Clutter (http://www.sprote.com/clutter/).
Launch Clutter when you have iTunes open. As a song is playing, Clutter automatically looks up the album art. Once found, under the File menu select copy to iTunes and BAM, it's there for the WhOLE album. Sweet.
One note. If it doesn't find the art, just go under the File menu and choose "Find cover in Amazon". Just type in different variations of the artist or song and i'm sure it'll pop up.

It's not really productive to complain here. Report the problem with your download to iTunes support. They'll be more likely to be able to straighten it out than anyone here.

I would go with the 9800 also. The Geforce 6200 I have doesn't work in MDD's for some odd reason but does work in all other AGP G4 towers. The 9800 will also outperform a GF 6200.
Be sure to get a Radeon 9800 Pro rather than a regular 9800. About the same prices but the Pro is faster.

When you take forever to get the phone on VZW you should expect people to take their time switching.
First, you've let Android have all that time to get a following because it's the only alternative for the lack of an iPhone. Those people have also bought apps that they now enjoy and would have to re-purchase on the iPhone. This happens with video game systems as well.
Second, people are in 2yr contracts. There are very few people who are willing to pay more for a phone they can buy 4 months later at half price on top of the termination fee.
Third, not that many people hate AT&T it's just the handful of VZW fans that make it look that way.
And finally you have the reporting and reviews. All the reports I saw were telling VZW people and potential switchers to hold off on getting the iPhone 4. No 4G, no white and still had the questionable signal issues. The "iPhone 5" was supposed to come out mid to late summer so people were concerned Apple would sell them a phone and then jump up 6 months later with the newer, thiner, better version and leave folks hanging.
People are paying attention to these reports and that's why I feel the numbers were low.

Got mine through this morning from the AppleStore. Its absolutely wicked! Very, very diddy and comes with this cool little docking station to charge it and interface with my Mac. Looking forward to a trip to the gym tonight... ;)

This is my first post. It takes a lot for me to stop being a lurker, but the idea that any user can resize a textarea on a site I design, dynamically redrawing the page, is among the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. This will break valid page layouts in new and unheard of ways. Designers make form elements a size and shape for a reason.
I look forward to finding a way using JavaScript to disable that feature the day that browser is released.
Well, ya. Dontca hate text zoom? Hey, I design too and as long as it looks right at default settins + a text size or two higher I'm fine. If people need to resize forms or make their text huge then they're probably used to every site looking like utter junk. These are not the power users I'm designing for.

Yeah, I saw this earlier, hopefully this means a stable release will be coming soon. There's actually some stuff in 4.3 I'd like, so it'd be nice to not have to wait 2 or 3 months.
I'm not complaining though, I'll be patient. I'm not doing the work so I won't whine about something I'm getting for free.

If you look at the industry as a whole there are but the higher up the food chain you go the fewer FCP seats you see. These numbers are from a couple of years ago but from what I remember FCP had about 50% of the market and Avid had 25% or 30%. A survey of A.C.E. members (American Cinema Editors), who mainly work on 'Hollywood' TV shows and movies, taken around the same time showed that about 80% of members used Avid while about 10% used FCP.
For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).

I, too, was expecting iLife 07. I've got two gift cards just waiting to plunk down toward the purchase of a new Mac Pro. Besides iLife, I was hoping for a Mac Pro refresh, including a better graphics card, and the dual quad-core option, so the prices of the other processors would fall.

4.3 and 4.3.1 has been a disaster. The animations are so choppy it makes it almost androidesque. I hope they actually fix it this time rather than just patching a jailbreak. I wish I could go back to 4.2.1 where the phone was actually stable and smooth.

The new BMW M5 Concept was revealed today. Like many of BMW's concepts, though, the real car will look very similar to this when revealed. I love the look of the new F10 5-series, and this new M version is even better. Great looking, as usual from the M Division...

Also, Pagani has recently revealed the car that will replace the aging Zonda. That was an utterly amazing car, so it will take a lot to top that. With the new Huayra, though, it seems as though they did. Not quite as flamboyant and wild as the Zonda, but hardly any less sexy. This is a SPECTACULAR looking car, and the interior is possibly my favorite on any road car, EVER!! Amazing....

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see iOS 5 offering us too much at this point.
I wouldn't mind a new map app- yesterday I got lost, my car GPS sent me on a goose chase, and my iPhone didn't help much.
