Yes, we are all looking forward for everyone to be here. YOU can make a difference. We are sitting in the situation room and loving every minute of it..Making new friends, being inspired by all the volunteers and their hard work. It is just a wonderful feeling to be part of history, come experience it yourself!!! You will never regret this..

My attorney has indicated that we wont have to refile. They had sent it to NSC around July 3.

Totally agree. Let's relax for a few days, and then move on to tackle the issues

My suggestion would be to get in touch with your local DMV/auto insurance agent regarding the legal requirements for someone on visitors visa to drive in US.
I am sure he can drive with an Indian international license, but I think "meridiani.planum" is talking more in terms of liability issues. For example, if there is an accident or any other lawsuit (driving or non-driving related), will the sponsored party (the one who sent the letter that got him the visa) be liable?
Does anyone know about this?

newyorker123, what happened to your interview/ I am facing possible PIMS delay and would love to hear from your experience
krishmunn, I don't quite understand the $8 that you are talking about appointments in Mexico. I checked it out and they are requiring to pay $150 for H1 appointments.

startup visa is all smoke & mirrors..... this is another way for rich people to make more money..... how will startup visa create entrepreneurship? just as h1/j1/l1 exploit foreign works..... this is just another way for rich people to start new ventures exploiting the ideas of foreigners..... immigrants will not become this so called "entrepreneur"..... the bill is designed such that only 170 "registered" venture capitalist could exploit immigrants...... if immigrants want to start their own companies, using funding from anywhere other than those "registered" 170 venture capitalist.... then those immigrants will not qualify for this "startup visa" the next generation greatest idea on the planet.... to exploit more immigrants keeping them in probationary limbo state......
if anyone in america actually care for entrepreneurship.... they ought to give green cards to people who are already here.... who already understand the system... people who already have their own savings & ideas.... & people who are willing to take risk in starting their own businesses, which will create more jobs.....
creating system in which rich people will become richer is not "boost" entrepreneurship.... rather this is another way to trap & kill innovative ideas/minds.... startup visa is the most horrible of all the ideas..... this subject is like a hidden enemy of all immigrants waiting in the backlog ..... is anything like this would pass..... the congress will tell everyone that entrepreneurship related immigration issues are all fixed.... it will be hailed as the biggest victory of american capitalism & congress will forget @ those stuck in the backlogs..... the reality will be that is just another way for those 170 venture capitalist to rake more....
some reporters write these articles with no knowledge of the subject.... & with little or no research of their own....

Hello All,
I am on 7th year of my H1 and my I-140 is pending. Since my current H1 is about to expire, I need to file for my 8th year of H1 extension. Do you think there could be some problem in getting my 8th year extension since my labor is approved and I-140 is pending. The way I interpreted the extension rule is that you can only get the extension if your labor is pending for more than 1 year but in my case my labor is approved and I-140 is pending. And I cannot wait for I-140 approval since my current H1 is about to expire.
Please advise.
Thanks

A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two.I picked up small pieces of black and white non-reflective velvet that do a nice job. Any local fabric shop should carry it. Not cheap, but it won't break the bank. They might have remnants that would be large enough.
