From what I've seen at the places I've been as an editor, the people who still have Avid are the ones that invested in it awhile ago and it's cheaper to maintain their current hardware. Though there are certainly desires to switch. I've also seen some places jump from Avid to Final Cut when doing complete system upgrades and ditching their old Power PC machines for Intel ones. Many places that are starting out are also going with Final Cut over anything else out there.
My Final Cut might not be 64 Bit, but it's doing just fine. Though our graphic designers have seen significant improvements in terms of render times going from After Effects CS4 to CS5, I think I can wait another 6 months and then be blown away by whatever improvement Apple makes to Final Cut.

sorry but it deserves everyone of those mentions a great application. A great app that really lets you control your trackpad. A must have if you have an ibook or powerbook.
MenuMeters Also another great app to tell you if your computer is actually working.

Sadly, like Dr. Jones, I can offer no proof of it until tomorrow (when it won't matter ;) ).
My Verizon contact showed me his production white CDMA IP4 last night and indicated they would in fact go on sale in the US on 4/27.
He went on to confirm rumors I've read here and elsewhere that the paint issue was a red herring. The proximity sensor was the problem all along and is a complete redesign on the white phone.

Where's the typical signature? Seems a bit fishy to me (since emails like this are easily faked, and have been many times).
I don't really doubt the facts here, though, just that this email is real.

The CSS3 resizer property is fine and good because you can set resizer:none to a form element if you want to. As a side note, resizer applies to all elements, including html, meaning a site could prevent you from resizing the browser window. That has the potential to be very annoying if abused, as I'm sure it will be. Right now, I don't think any of the main 5 or 6 browsers support this propery for any element.
What worries me is if Safari is implementing this feature using built-in DOM functions instead of just supporting the CSS3 property. This is a possibility to me. They've got quite a ways to go in terms of the standard right now.
no, it's CSS3 download the nightly then visit this site. http://www.css3.info/preview/resize.html

Wow, a lot of unethical people on here. This is totally a scam, and the seller relied on the buyer assuming he was a normal upstanding human being who was selling a legitimate product. There is no way that is right, ethical, or moral. The seller deserves to be jailed.
Really? The seller was completely honest, upfront and quite descriptive about the item he is selling. I wish I could get the same when I go to buy my next used car.
Unscrupulous? You betcha! Illegal? Hell NO!
"A fool and his money are soon parted" Age old proverb there.
The winner of this auction, if he had to pay, would not only be getting a picture of an iphone. He will be receiving one of life's lessons. The buyer has no else to blame but himself for this.
People will be trying to take things of value from you your entire life. If you wish to secure these things it would be best to keep your guard up. It took me about 20 seconds to read that item description, and I would do the same if I were going to spend $5, let alone $450.
Caveat emptor

Best sit in arcade game ever !!!!
I must admit that the sit-in version did give that in-the-X-Wing-cockpit feeling. My favorite sit-in, though, was Omega Race.
By the way, InuNacho, yes, the original sounds for Yar's Revenge left a lot to be desired. However, Yar's Revenge was IMHO the best original (i.e. not adapted from an arcade version) Atari 2600 sci-fi game in terms of gameplay.
...Debate, anyone?

By the way, whoever can guess which favourite game of mine this avatar is from, will get a free box of cyber cookies :D

Seriously, the iOS maps app is so unreliable. Sometimes it's super fast and sometimes (i.e. whenever I really need it quickly) it lags so bad, doesn't load maps or traffic info, takes forever to get directions, etc, and basically makes me want to throw my iPhone out the window. The maps app needs a serious reliability overhaul.
Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.
yep thats what im talkin about. maps take too long to load, or are missing, the search input hangs on me as i input, theres no built-in spoken turn-by-turn, etc.. some of this may be network, but some is iOS.
id much rather have a better maps app than worry about notifications.

Love the idea but the execution is a joke. So you download the app and get exactly one crappy game, Pong, and you have to wade through dozens of other games just to find it and play it.
Then if you want to get one of the good classics you get is in a "4-pack" that includes 3 games you don't care about. So if you really want all the classics you are essentially forced to buy all 100 games for $20.
Soooo, how many games did you get originally for $20? What a lame gripe!
Personally, I couldn't stand to listen to the primitive sound effects for the whole length of the attached video... my ears! my ears!
