If one is in their say 5th or 6th yr of H1 and has an Approved I-140 (copy) from a company A, does that mean:
1. that he can transfer his H1b to a company B and get 3 yr ext.
2. Again in the 8th or 9th year, can he move to another company C and get a 3 ext (upto 12th year).
So can one get infinite 3 yr extenstions just because once upon a time he/she had an approved I 140 from one of his ex-employers (and not his immediate previous emplyer). :)

It would be interesting to know the "process" used to legalize the illegals. If getting a GC when you're illegal is easy, I'd tear my H1 and stand in the USCIS illegal line.

My EAD is approved for 2 years last week, Today my attorney sent me I-140 reference answered is due by 1st Nov,
I will really appreciate your advise. My I-140 is filed for Accounting analyst.
My PD date is in Dec. 2006
As per Reference:
1) Please provide evidence (in the form of official academic transcript) of any additional education the beneficiary has obtained prior to Dec. 2006
2)The other one is for Company 's ability to pay and for my payroll records after PD to current. (This is not an issue as my firm is financially sound)

Can anyone please comment on Massachusetts licensing requirements? and the validity period for someone who is working on EAD? Thanks!
Fortunately, MA is still unaffected by the xenophobic policies regarding Driver's Licenses that are prevalent in other states. You can renew your license online, and the length or the nature of the validity of your immigration status has no influence on the type or duration of the driver's license. How long this will stay like this in MA is anybody's guess. I am sure they will also become restrictive when pressure is brought on by REAL ID regulations.

You may get your green card with out giving a new set of finger prints. Sometimes, you will get the green card first and then they ask you to give the finger prints if necessary.
In my case, I didn't have to give FP for receiving the physical cards.

After 7 years of stay in the US and 3 green card applications later, I finally got the 485 approval e-mail.....aaahhha......I feel so relaxed now.
However I did not get any FP notice yet! Do you know if Biometrics is a requirement for issuing the physical green card and also any idea how long it takes to get the card from this point of time.
following is the current status in the online status of my 485:

My PD is Mar, 2005 filed under EB2. Me & My wife got an RFE asking status for a particular period [like May 01, xxxx to Feb xxxx]. These dates exactly fall under just one month before graduation to OPT expiration.
For my case �.. no issues providing evidence and everything is straight forward.
But for my wife �.we have some issue (I think)
USCIS wants her status from May 01, 2003 to Mar 01 2006.
She graduated on May 23, 2003. She used 60 days grace period before applying for EAD.
OPT from July 31, 2003 to July 30, 2004 [exactly one year and was looking for job�didn't find one]
We filed H1B in April, 2004 so that she can start working from Oct, 2004 [H1B approved for Oct 2004 to Sep 2007 ..extension approved too�]
But No status from July 31, 2004 to Sep 30, 2004 [USCIS issued a gap relief for all the F1 students like this]�.
What are odds that her case might we rejected�any opinions here.

I don't think the spiral staircase shot ever gets old. Each one has its own characteristics and the varied tones and depths always make for interesting B&W shots. Whom are you going to sue? Which 'LAW' did they break? Yes you can sue federal agencies or any government agency (up to certain extent), IF you can prove they are breaking law.
Unless they are breaking some law, chances of winning or even getting a class-action status are very very bleak. Not to mention, the additional legal costs involved.
Instead, like Pappu said, its better to concentrate our efforts on working with lawmakers....
