Not sure how people have gotten the idea that only Google has map data...

Maps are old, people. They've been digitized for a damn long time. There are good sources of data available should Apple want to go in that direction.

Now, when you talk about StreetView, yeah, that may be something of an issue.

Its funny how Apple is suing for specific design and UI infringements, but Samsung seems to be countersuing for generic items that could possibly not be invented by them.

They are countering with software implementations to hardware, but they don't own the OS so how is Apple use of internal API's, coding, etc. impeding on Samsung's patents?

Sounds like Samsung is grabbing at straws hoping to get a short one!

I like both companies personally. My electronics are split between Apple and Samsung and all of my appliances are Samsung. Sammy is definitely knocking of Apple though. I thought so ever since I saw their portable computer line that looks just like MacBook Pros.

E3 Xeons are basically for entry level workstations and servers. You will likely see their consumer versions in the new iMacs - Core i5/i7 2000 processors.

The http://www.att.com/anymobile site appears to be live now. However, the FAQ link goes to a "down for maintenance" page, and I don't see the new feature as an option in my account yet (with rate plan Family Talk 700).

Some are fun. Did you grow up on these? I think those of us who did, still get a kick out of the simplicity of them. I know there's a couple I would love to have for some casual play.

All the fun games were 2 player games. If the iCade had one more arcade stick for 2 player gaming (and also usable for dual analog shooters like NOVA2, Modern Combat 2, and Nazi Zombies), it would be perfect.

Leaving out a second arcade stick was a mistake. You can't even play 2 player pong without a second stick.

I ask this simple question for you memory geeks out there. When will a 2 gigglebyte chip of the same form factor become available sufficient for a Shuffle "second generation", "version 2"?Already is. But Apple can't/won't offer 2GB or 4GB Shuffles 'cause that's Nano territory.

There are 2 versions: the console version and the arcade machine version.
    The console one is terrible.

I can tell you that the Arcade version is spot on! Did not try the 2600 version. Hopefully Intellivision releases something similar, so I can play B-17 Bomber and Advanced D&D

iDisk works fine for me and has better integration than Dropbox.

How is iDisk better integrated than DropBox? I have DropBox running on my desktop where it looks like any other folder. I can open that folder and drag things to and from it. I have DropBox running on my iPad and iPhone too, and all three devices sync automatically. I use 1Password on all three devices and my data file resides on DropBox, so 1Password syncs to all devices automatically. And, there's a web interface for DropBox, so I can get to it from any computer. So what's better on iDisk?

The best way to avoid the experience of the music industry is to respond to a changing market and give people what they want before they get mad enough to expend the effort to just take it and feel justified.

I couldn't agree with you more. The current model that the MPAA and the RIAA are trying to preserve is simply irrelevent with the advent of digital media as a realistic and easily obtainable alternative. They had a chance to embrace it and make serious changes to the way they do things (i.e. find some way to deliver content at essentially no cost to the consumer but still turn a profit through ads and other sponsorship, which would work because the cost of producing the content is decreasing really quickly) but they chose to fight it and they can't win. The iTS is a compromise between the two, but I'll stick to free media and pay to go to concerts for bands I like and see some movies in the theatres.

This is great news if it means the end of mobile me. Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.

The only "message" it sends is, "Hey, i purchased MobileMe."

Maybe the software, but the drive itself may be only compatible with Blu-Ray rather than HD-DVD. Different wavelenghts and all. Could be wrong though, I just think that Apple might let you REAd HD-DVD, just not write....

    Cheers

Correct. The operating system will support both formats, you then require a Blu-Ray drive for Blu-Ray support and/or HD-DVD drive for HD-DVD support. The ability to write as well as read will not be limited, it will depend on the hardware.

    Try this as well -

Take both cards out and power the computer up. Any ticking? How about the kernel panic?

If everything is fine, try just one of the cards. If everything is kosher, pull it out and try the other. If it's fine again, I would assume that they can't work together.

Have you called Other World Computing to ask them if they will both work together?

If they will, I would start checking power supply lead voltages, you could be experiencing a power supply failure causing an undervoltage occurrence to the cards, thus causing a kernel panic.

EDIT - Just noticed that you also ordered memory. Where did you order it from, and was it listed as Mac compatible?

Also, are the SATA cards installed with new hard drives? That again could cause an undervoltage situation if the supply is failing.
