Have they checked that they are not just props left by the Doctor Who production team?
:D
Wasn't this already known? My (somewhat) fuzzy memory seems to recall that Time Team were there for 6 summers and found this, along with a ceremonial route, evidence of many, many structures (wooden and stone) and lots and lots of human remains in the immediate area surrounding Stonehenge.
You must concentrate, try to remember. It may just completely unearth it all back into existence!
Oh I'm sorry, wrong meeting.

I had an iPad (1st gen) and liked it to an extent. I "need" a computer with me at all times, and the iPad just didn't cut it for me. I gave that to my dad and got an 11" MBA with 4GB, and fell in love. I no longer have to carry the 15 MBP around with me, and the air is such a nice weight and size, and packs the same punch as it's bigger brother the pro with certain obvious limitations. I would go ahead and get a $25 USB DVD burner from newegg, and consider using USB drives or cloud storage as you mentioned. as far as iwork/office goes, if you are making these presentations and not distributing it to others, iwork would be fine. If others are giving you powerpoints and you are displaying them, you might want to get office to ensure compatibility.
thanks so much - I think I'll get one today...the 999 model should do it, right?
never storing more than 10 meg of files on it...

I have been using screen in the osx terminal to get serial access, using the following:
screen telnet /dev/tty.usbserial
Unfortunately I can't scrollback in screen, which makes copying long config files a process of :apple:-C, :apple:-V, and repeat. Any suggestions for native serial support in the osx terminal app WITH scrollback?
I do not understand why you are using screen to launch telnet instead of invoking it directly, but try using logging in screen (-L if memory serves right)
Personally I would use tee to make a copy of the output in a file and extract your config files from this file.
Also IIRC Cisco's iOS lets you save and load config files directly. I do not remember the exact syntax but try built-in help...
Hope this helps,
Trebor.

30 second fix
duplicate layer, layer mask, invert mask, brush in afflicted area on right side, adjustment layer of levels
new layer, clone brush / black paint brush over the white fringe edge that is left
BAM
awesome! thanks.
I knew there had to be a way and I was at my wit's end b/c I couldn't make it work.
I do appreciate it and I'll make sure to credit you in helping me when I explain to the client. As much as I wanted to do it myself, I just had to ask b/c this photo deserves to be fixed properly :)

Oh yes...it's real. The prototypes of the OMP are getting rare nowadays. It will be interesting to see what it goes for, once the Newton aficionados hear about it. :p I myself have a MessagePad 2000 that I use constantly.
I want a Newton, but I'm not sure what I would do with it. How much do normal ones go for?

I bought this via slickgate (http://www.slickgate.com/gevey-turbo-sim-unlock-for-iphone-4-ios-41-42-43_p990.html) for $10 and it worked perfectly on my ip4 with baseband 03.10.
Just pop in the sim w/gevey and then wait for it to load up, it gives you the instructions on the screen, hit accept, dail 112 wait till the screen changes and then count to 3 after that hang up and turn on airplane mode and wait till it says no SIM (pop up) and then turn off airplane mode, you get a few more pop ups and then bham its unlocked until you restart

Hey guys
Got a bit of an interesting occurance with my Powerbook G4 12" 1.33. Quite a while ago I dropped my bag with it inside, causing the corner of the frame to bend a bit and make it difficult to plug the power in, and make it stay. Finally, I decided to open it up and try to bend the frame back with the help of pbfixit. To my shock and horror, as I was unscrewing the keyboard from the underneith, I'm pretty sure I shocked the logic board where there it pokes through beside the RAM expansion slot  I nervously put it all back together, and to my delight, it worked. Or did it?
My first KP occured while running tiger. I was unplugging the power, and as it changed power saving modes it crashed. I thought "oh well Ill just have to deal with this", but it turned out to not be such a regular occurance. KP's started happening with more frequency, in random places. Power plugged in or battery, many apps open or just a few. Highly frustrating. Unfortunately at this point I hadn't read about the log file so I didn't actually look at what the error messages were...
In desperation earlier today, I installed panther to see if that might somehow work. To my dismay, about 30 minutes after installing it I received another KP while just idling. At this point I started searching the forum, and figured out how to get the logs. Here is the one from that time:
Thu Dec 15 15:11:51 2005

Do you prefer to work from one 'main' computer or more?
Using one main computer has it's benefits, everything is in one place, no juggling files or file syncing software. It's easy to stay focused working from one desktop.
But, if you have mobility in mind you'd need the computer to be a notebook and work with a limited screen size or add an external display .... but then there's the plugging/unplugging all day, files need to be kept in sync...
What's your setup like, one computer or two, how do you use them?

Cheeses. The flow chart is humour, guys. Like all good observational humour, it works because there's a significant element of truth to it, but it's humour nonetheless.
Cheers!

I pulled out the battery but there is no AirPort "door" as described in the document. What should I do now?
On the Aluminium powerbooks the airport card is not user replacable part. It sounds like the antenna cable is not connected as other posters have said. This is a 10-15 minute fix and your local Apple store will probably do it as you wait.
To answer your earlier question, according to the apple service manual disconnecting the airport antenna is a required step when replacing a display since the airport antenna cable crosses over the top of the main display data cable.

What a hot product ;)
From another web site, WSJ requires subscription
Models from the Sony Vaio F and Vaio C lines sold since January 2010 supposedly carry a temperature-control defect that can lead to such high heat that even the shape of the laptop becomes distorted.
...
The total of mobile PCs recalled is 535,000. Of these, 103,000 were sold in Europe, 259,000 were shipped in the US, 120,000 in Asia and the remaining 52,000 in Japan.

That's quite a huge bug. :(
Glad they fixed it, but that kind of thing should have never been allowed to exist in the firstplace.

sorry I should re-word what I originally said,
The software isn't cracked, I was given the software and a serial number, I presume my friend bought the software and gave me a serial number to use...
That's completely different from your original statement, which wasn't ambiguous at all:
... a friend provided me with a cracked, full version of iWork
I was advised to come to these forums for help and advice from other Mac users, I didn't expect hostility and rudeness...
There are some who would consider violating forum rules or pirating software to be hostile and rude.
