"Hi. What are you want from me this time, porn or eBay? Oh.......porn. I'm not sure I'm going to let this happen. Sorry, but it's for your own good. You just go at it way too hard. Take it easy. You realize that you're only born with one penis, don't you? Slowly, Waloshin. Sloooooooowly."

What war? hell Blu-Ray is about to launch ton's of players and PS3.
Which doesn't guarantee anything, especially considering how delayed and expensive both are.

im hoping this quietly fixes the unresponsive home button issue.
I've been having problems with the home button on my iPhone, but figured it was just the hardware going bad. Perhaps not? Is this an issue many have been experiencing?
The trouble I experience is that sometimes when I double-click the home button, it takes me to the search screen rather than the multitasking bar. Other times when I double-click the home button (or even single-click it), it does nothing at all. Is that what you're also talking about?
And the biggest question of all does this update fix it?

OS X Server unlimited client is quite expensive by itself, add that to a MacPro and see what the price diff for xserve is. How much is server 2003 unlimited these days, still pretty pricy if I understand correctly and that does not come with your backyard barebones.
Also there was something about lights out management (which I know nothing about) added to the cost of the dell in the WWDC comarison.
In other words hardware is one thing but the big picture needs to be looked at more carefully.
Also 1/5 of the cost? I'd like to see some figures. I can't even get 1 xeon for that let alone 2.

sounds neat. but honestly after having a treo 650.... I would much rather the additional option of a smart PDA/Phone/Ipod.
that would go much farther than a mini cell phone/ipod.
just my thoughts.

A whole year Later ?
Whats the point?
Shouldn't we be seeing the 5 by now?
That's the point. Apple is using this to postpone their introduction of the iPhone 5. I will admit, it has taken them a considerably long time to introduce it in the iPhone 4:mad:. I was hoping they would just focus on getting a black and white 5.

Nobody in their right mind would take a look at the pathetic 5.5th generation "upgrade" and think that was what Apple had planned all along.
yes and with the 5th anniversary of ipod today, tommorrow could be very bright.

At least this means we're almost DEFINATELY seeing new hardware... though that's not new. Are all the international stores down? (Might be a hint of whether Apple's got this deal worked out for many countries?)
Yeah, all down.
Yeah, all down.

Everything I have read about the NAB event was that it was strictly about FCP and nothing else. Just because the dont talk about the rest of the suite doesnt mean anything one way or the other. Apple specifically said to Jim Dalrimple of the Loop insight that they were focusing on FCP in this event...Yep it was an Final Cut Pro Users Group meeting :)
It was my first and I tell yaa it was crazy.

Comcast Data Cap + lossless music + Netflix + downloads + .....well I can stop adding things right here because 250GB goes a lot quicker than you'd think with a family of 5 computer users. No thanks, Apple cloud. I'll keep my storage local.

hoping they upgrade the rest of the suite. I've got Studio 2 since I got it with an EDU discount and couldn't upgrade it, but I love having it in the same program set from start to finish; everything from Motion to FCP to color to DVD Studio Pro and compressor. I use it all as part of my workflow. it would suck to upgrade only one component and leave the rest sitting dusty on the shelf.

I HATE the whole idea!
I used to walk to a shop buy a CD with a HARD copy it was MINE I paid for it! a physical copy I had controll over.
Then we had MP3's with that lovely DRM removed to let us do WHAT WE WANT and had a PHYSICAL file on my laptop or pc it was MY FILE.
So what we saying now?
Upload all YOUR music your PAID for back to Apple or whatever company running it so they have the whole controll to pull it all when they want!
No copys, no files, all on the server and it dont stop there it will be personal stuff soon eventualy everything cloud based and your trust in the company to keep this all safe!
NO WAY I'll stick to my few terabyte hard disk and stream it from MY PC not THERE servers!
Never heard of mainframes? Computers are just coming full circle, that's all, with the internet replacing local connections.

This doesn't make sense. Phone plans cost the same on a carrier for iPhone and android; therefore the only difference could be the cost of the phone.
In which case, if you are willing to buy an out of date android phone to get it for less, why not consider a year old iPhone which usually sells for half to three quarters off.
I believe most android phones at release are priced around $200 same as the iPhone.
What you say would be correct in a world where Verizon & AT&T were the only phone carriers (which isn't that unlikely anymore, but that's a different story...).
As the poster you reply to states, you can get phone plans for $25 - $30 with unlimited data/texts and while Android phones are options here, iPhones are not.

That "Liquid Metal (LM)-Carbon Fiber (CF)-Liquid Metal" fusion process sounds extremely strong. Though it sounds like it would be thickening and equally as heavy as glass, and possibly even more expensive than using CF or LM separately? Correct me on this one if you please.
Even if that's the case, I can't wait to see what Apple does with this. I would very much like an iPhone that's 5x more strong than glass.
Any new news about "Transparent Alunimum (TA)"?
CF-LM-CF for the back + TA for the front = one stable, cheap, light and extremely durable phone!!!

Yes. I'd be very interested in seeing how his version of Pro allows you to download streams, whereas mine doesn't.
get ready... this is a hard one. CTRL-Click the picture. there will be a download option if you have quicktime pro.

Yes. Are you also aware that it isn't going to run the kind of software that I was pointing out in my post. Also they do offer an external superdrive for that.
You are not going to be running pro apps on an Air.
That doesn't change the solutions they provided in the Air to compensate for no optical drive. The external option being one of those solutions.
So what is it you don't understand about how Apple could build computers without optical drives while still providing solutions to do the things people need and want to do with them when they have already done this? Just because the MacBook Air isn't powerful enough to run FCS etc. doesn't mean that the solutions they provided are void.
