I think the more important thing is, can they listen to my tunes and will they have to pay a royalty to universal if it is on their record label?
I'd have thought so, universal probably want royalties when you think about one of their artists.
Back to the topic, if you have to be within 20m, you can see them unless they do round a corner into a building or something, then this Nike+ range would be massively reduced, Apple didn't add security as it's pointless.
EDIT: How do you play those CNN videos on a Mac?

Mine for the month... or at least the next week.
Can you share that Finder icon and whatever set it might have come from? Thanks!

How can they sell a "cheap" iMac and a very expensive MP if they want large margins on their products? Shouldn't the iMac be at least 500$ more if that were the case?
They sell a lot more iMacs than Mac Pros, volume makes a difference. I'd think the margin on the Mac Pro $2,499 base models is the highest percentage of any Mac right now, but I'm not sure why you think the iMac ones are low.
Also, has anyone looked to the latest financials to see how many MPs have actually been sold? And how much money they gained by keeping that MP tax?
Apple just list desktop sales numbers and earnings for them. The average price per unit sold is under $1,500 so we know Mac Pros make up a very small part of that.

My feed has been stuck on the QT logo for over 20 mins now. Is it completely dead for other people too?
Yes. But I've been having streaming trouble for a couple months now.

WIKI:
Elemental magnesium is a fairly strong, silvery-white, light-weight metal (two thirds the density of aluminium). It slightly tarnishes when exposed to air, although unlike the alkaline metals, storage in an oxygen free environment is unnecessary. Like its lower periodic table group neighbor calcium, magnesium reacts with water at room temperature, though it reacts much more slowly than calcium. When it is submerged in water hydrogen bubbles will almost unnoticably begin to form on the surface of the metal, though if powdered it will react much more rapidly. The reaction will occur faster with higher temperatures (see precautions). Magnesium is a highly flammable metal, but while it is easy to ignite when powdered or shaved into thin strips, it is difficult to ignite in mass or bulk. Once ignited it is difficult to extinguish, being able to burn in both nitrogen (forming magnesium nitride), and carbon dioxide (forming magnesium oxide and carbon).
Magnesium, when it burns in air, produces a brilliant white light. This was used in the early days of photography when magnesium powder was used as a source of illumination (flash powder). Later, magnesium ribbon was used in electrically ignited flash bulbs. Magnesium powder is still used in the manufacture of fireworks and marine flares where a brilliant white light is required.
Magnesium, when glowing white, has many chemical properties that it does not possess at lower temperatures. It also becomes more toxic, although this is irrelevant because the high temperature alone is extremely dangerous.
Magnesium compounds are typically white crystals. Most are soluble in water, providing the sour-tasting magnesion ion Mg2+. Small amounts of dissolved magnesium ion contributes to the tartness and taste of natural waters. Magnesium ion in large amounts is an ionic laxitive, and magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) is sometimes used for this purpose. So-called "milk of magnesia" is a water suspension of one of the few insoluble magnesium compounds, magnesium hydroxide; the undissolved particles give rise to its appearance and name. Milk of magnesia is a mild base, and is commonly used as an antacid.

Which is why he said he is either delusional OR a liar. Basically he is blowing smoke up everybody's ***. You can't deny that there is a signal issue. It is very easily reproduced. Also it is not just the bars, but a lot of times the call will get choppy or drop. Then when you take your fingers off it is clear as a crystal.

If it's coming before Christmas, then it needs to be announced in early November to give everyone the option to ask for the 5.5G (which I think they'd keep) or the higher priced 6G video iPod. When Zune announced their date of 14 November, I did wonder if we'd see an Apple event invitation for around the same time to steal their thunder...
December for an announcement is too late; there's not enough time for Apple's resellers to get behind it or for Apple to stock them up for it - and there are a lot of iPods sold by resellers.

My guess for GPU would be size and heat. If you can see, there is very little wiggle room for anything else in an iMac.
Makes sense
would a bigger display in the future over come this issue?

It better get released in Europe with little gap between the US.
I'd like a new phone, and one made by Apple is a definite yes.
Though with all this great stuff coming, I'll be broke :P
I realize this is what happens with every other fancy new phone, but I imagine an Apple phone would come out in the US first and Europe later.

Um, so my girlfriend and I have both have the iPhone 3G. We have the same tracking issue by virtue of being on iOS 4.x - but at the current highest OS level for this model, 4.2.1, we don't get a "fix?"

Best Buy hasn't officially said anything about how the pre-order process will work or when it will start, but im sure they will announce something before the 15th.
Well, they certainly should. Can't believe such a mega-retailer's missing out on the opportunity. I think even Wal-Mart's taking pre-orders (tho' I'm not sure, really). Ask you phone department manager. FWIW, I'm pre-ordering at AT&T on Tuesday (15th), or maybe the Apple Store if they have the same pickup-with-no-waiting-in-line policy.

While I really dont like what you say Im afraid I completely agree, apple has done a great job of challenging windows in the home market, and it seems also the edu market, but the corporate market, apple has a long long way to go!
I think Apple would be all too happy to just own the home and edu markets. If they get back up to 30% of the edu market and can match that in the home market, I think they'd be ecstatic, since their total market share would probably more than double to 10% or more of the overall market.

It's truly shocking how many empty headed people offer a mac mini as an idea when someone obviously wants an expandable system. He already has a tower and is looking at another tower so spending more and getting what he doesn't want is a solution somehow.. Wow.
Anyway.. some actual advice intended to help you. I wouldn't buy a G5 tower myself as they are far too unreliable. I have posted about this before and they are quite unreliable. This (http://www.macintouch.com/reliability/pmg5.html) link shows extensive research based on actual Apple repair records on G5's. A quick sum up is that even the most reliable one (the dual 2.3GHz) saw 11% go in the shop for one reason or another. The worst model (the first dual 2GHz) saw a whopping 32% in the shop for repair.
Best and cheapest solution in my mind..
Get a G4 MDD dual 1.25 or dual 1.42. Even the dual 1.25 will be a world apart performance wise compared to your single 867MHz. Not quite as fast as a dual G5 but really not all that much slower and much more reliable. A fair price on ebay for these models would be maybe 150-225. I prefer the heavily upgraded Sawtooth I have but it's a much bigger investment than an ebay MDD. Even the low end dual 867 MDD I used to own handled all flash quite well. A 1.25+ won't have any issues with anything you want to do at all.
To each their own.. most of my everyday work, about 70-80 percent is done on the PB G4 - basics.. only handbrake and dvd encoding is done on my 6-core mac pro.. I have no use for video editing, and personally will never touch it because I don't have the time nor desire to learn about it.
Well, I just replaced the 5400 120GB PATA in my PB G4 and replaced it with a OWC Legacy SSD drive and it has brought new life to my power book G4.
I say: Why not? My 2010 Mac Pro seems to love the company of its older brothers, the PPC macs.. and even my Gateway p-6860fx chimes along as well. All of them get along.. none of them hate each other.. why hate ppc? Why hate Intel?? So long as the computer can do what you ask of it, it is NEVER obsolete.
We should all play nice.

Simple. They don't have Republicans. They actually give a **** about each other and come together to help each other. In the US- it's every man for himself. Just ask a Libertarian.
Why does Lee continue to bury his head in the sand and ignore the FACTS that conservatives give FAR more money, time, blood to charity than liberals do. They also give a higher percentage of their own wealth to charity. Maybe it's just easier to continue and live a lie that all Republicans are only concerned with themselves even though the evidence is to the contrary. Yep, only communists and socialists care about other people. Only people who think government is the solution to all of our problems care about other people.
Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Price & Size. The base 11" is perfect; in that it fits in my iPad bag along with AC Adapter so I only need to carry 1 small bag when traveling. Any other time I use the iMac in either office. It also plays Starcraft ok so I can play when I'm away. The small disk (SSD) and RAM were concerns but thus far have not been an issue.
