...Uh, Internet law 2001-B... because he's the international scapegoat of this decade. He must be blamed for all unfortunate and tragic events, no matter when, where, how or why they occured. Including and not limited to natural disasters, "acts of God", actions by foreign powers and anything else that blame could possibly (no matter how illogically) be assigned to. Because, dammit, if there were anyone else sitting in that oval office, the world would have progressed into a virtual utopia by now.
My predictions for the next presidency: A variation of the same old ****, completely different guy.
Well spoken.
P.S. Where's all the news stories about how G.W.B. STOPPED the influx of hurricaines he CAUSED last year?

i thought this from my first post, but his join date is 08, and he's a regular. that is what has me thinking that what he is saying is really how he thinks/acts.

No they don't. These 8 billion dollars is just a drop in a bucket for Samsung. Their annual revenue is well above $100 billion. As I said, Apple represents just 4% of Samsung sales.
And as I said, they are their number one customer, also as reported in the WSJ. If you don't think some bonuses were rewarded at Samsung for landing the account with Apple, and that your number one customer isn't important, then you know very little about business.

I'd guess because we now live in an era, often associated with the Bush era, where crushing all dissent is considered no biggie by a large section of the fear-controlled, TV-addled masses?
Perhaps Google Earth could help you out. London is not in any area under control of Mr. Bush. Perhaps you are thinking of London, Ohio?

It's utter silliness to try to predict market share for four years from now. Especially laughable that they try to predict it to the tenth of a percentage point. Four years way more than enough time for a new player to come in and dominate the field, not to mention time for a new kind of phone/device to appear.

Don't cry - a tablet would be the absolute worst interface for edit digital photos, so there's absolutely no chance that'll be happening at photokina.
Would it?
How is it different than using a Wacon Tablet?
Would seem like there would be a lot more control. But maybe I am wrong. Still would love to try it.

With all these rumors around, I feel like this event is Tomorrow, and not next week, but still we don't even have a confirmed date yet.
Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to see everything happen in one event that AppleInsider recently predicted.
But I just there are too many rumors floating around at this point.
Anyone agree w/ me on this one?

If Microsoft ever wants to get back at the top of their game they need to fire Ballmer and bring some new blood to the helm. They are as stagnant as IBM was when Microsoft rose to power.

So, basically:
* Greenpeace takes actions that hurt their own worthy cause (the problems are real, but the ranking stuff is the wrong kind of attention-seeking) :o
* Apple takes action to suppress the message and instead draws even more attention to it :o
The fallout from the above missteps, we should hope, is that Apple AND other companies DO improve their environmental practices. For ALL our sakes. Apple should be praised for what they have done right (which is a lot--look at the shrinking of packaging in certain cases) and should not be let off the hook for what they still should do better.
Still, there are always people looking for a reason to be pro-corporations and anti-anyone-working-for-good-causes. So that bandwagon has seating available :)

Yeah, I posted that earlier - I want the proper matte anodised finish. But RED, not that trendy pinkish colour that's going around at the moment. Proper, primary RED.
I've got a special edition (RED) Motorola SLVR that you can see here: http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/red/
It appears to be made of the same anodised aluminium of the nanos and looks way cool. I love the way it looks - and yes, it's more of a burgundy that primary red. The darker colour grows on you, though - it's not garish but rather just understated.
Everyone comments on it - and it actually feels good to say that a percentage of my calls/text charges goes toward a worthwhile cause every month.

I still do not see how or why Apple should be awarded App Store™.
He will need to be a 'cunning linguist' to assist Microsoft.
Ah well someone had to go there I guess. ;)

You're impressed that a chip not even available yet beats a chip from june 2003?
No Im amused that people still think (more or less wish really) the G5 is better.

Those who believe in making children obese should be put up against a wall and shot in the head...
That would leave an awful lot of parents dead.

Yes, I'm sure you came to that conclusion after spending countless hours with the man, learning about him, talking with him, and generally getting to know him on a human-to-human level.
Cuz, if you're just saying that he sucks as a person without having done that, it would mean you're a very sad and judgmental person who should spend much less time worrying about celebrities.
So its a good thing you got to know him before you said that, otherwise it is you who would suck.
Amen

Are they any good? I've never seen a phone with a good camera, 10MP phone sounds like 10MP of grainy nasty pictures to me.
By definition, 10MP phone cannot be as grainy as a 3MP phone. You do realize when someone says 10MegaPixel phone what they mean right?.
10 million pixels per square inch (before the tech police come out, this is a basic definition. I am aware an image does not have to be a square).

It'll be interesting to see what the Nokia deal will do for MSFT. As things stand now I can't see this happening but you never know.

Probably not quite as long as you might think. Less than 3x longer for 720p or 1080i, <6x longer for 1080p.
B
but his download time was 6 hours... so 3X would be, well... a long time.

Can't wait to see what they come out with. Will the displays ramp up resolution and diminish in size? Will there be a scaled down iMac? (doubtful) Will some other advances accompany Sandy Bridge and Thunderbolt?
I saw a two-year-old behave like that once... before getting his face smacked.
Very intelligent response.
Give it a shot pal.

Who is talking about low end Merom. I am talking about higher end with 4mb of Cache.
I highly doubt apple would use a low end merom, when they can go with a higher end.
The MacBook and MacBook Pro will both get 4mb Meroms.
Just FYI: It seems that Merom will ship at speeds from 1.66 to 2.33 GHz, the 1.66GHz and 1.83 GHz have 2 MB cache, and 2GHz and faster all have 4 MB cache. Prices seem to be identical to the current Yonah prices (except the 2.33; there is no 2.33 GHz Yonah). So I would expect that all Yonahs will be replaced with Merom at same clockspeed, and that means 4MB cache except for the low end MacBook and possibly MacMini.
