Why do any of you care? None of you are seeing profit or loss in this situation.
Some of you sound pissed, like T.J. Maxx personally offended you by selling cheaper iPads.
Now is a good time to get one if you don't already have one. Stop arguing about warranty, you should be getting Apple care on your idevice anyway.
So... What are you waiting for? Go get one before they run out! Profit or loss is none if your concern.

What kind of lesbians are we talking about? The stereotypical flannel wearing butch lesbian that can probably kick any guy's ass, or the 18 year old hot blonde lesbians in porn who probably aren't really lesbian but will eat carpet on camera because it pays? Because I'm a fan of the latter.

Agreed, .mac had a solid, sensible, identifiable connotation. I wasn't a mac guy at the time, but it whenever I'd see it, conveyed that Apple was providing a decent service package for it's users. "me" just seemed needlessly self-absorbed, and conveys nothing useful. "Castle" sounds like somebody in marketing trying hard to be clever.
I wish they'd simplify, combine & condense all these services, give all their iTunes and new hardware customers an account, and give at least one or two services away free to get people using it in some capacity. ...find my iPhone/iPad, or contact/cal/limited storage push syncing... But just go back to calling the whole package ".mac" again. Clean, short, clear, promotes the brand without being obnoxious.

Congrats on finishing your first semester of law school. Couple more things you will learn in the next couple of years:
1. Illegal does not mean criminal. There are many laws that create liability that are not criminal. Any tort law, for example. Copyright laws are another example. Thus, no one cares what any prosecutor would do.
2. You don't need a grand jury for all criminal charges. You definitely don't need one for false advertising.

see what i don't get is this:
Apple and the movie studios both lose from pirating. The more people who pirate, the fewer movies sell, the less $ everyone makes. There is no reason for movie studios to be so paranoid about apple's agenda.
There is no connection between the music industry's alleged loss of business bc of pirating, and apple's music store.

In the new Mac Mini I am expecting to see an intel i3 chip, the same RAM, and a little more GHz speed. I also except it to stay the same size, because it will still need to fit DVD's and CD's... if we still even use them.. Lol.

Dude... I'm assuming you're a Christian to be so up-in-arms about the holiday (but I don't think that's the right example, honestly) -- you need to also be more tolerant of other religious holidays at the same time such as Hananachaka (butchered that) and Kwanza as well as some others, I'd imagine.
Kwanzaa has two a's in it. Before you go slapping on others for posts about meaningless things (the guy can't wait for christmas, so what), you might want to open a dictionary yourself and get a clue.

I'm not sure why people are all out of sorts with this increase. Basically it seems people are mad that it will cost them more to end a contract early? Is upgrading before the end of two years really that important?
Maybe I'm just odd, but two years with a product really isn't all that long.
