I spoke with my lawyer again and he said that we are fine using the experience on my current job. The company that is petitioning my application is where I got most of the experience mentioned in my labor. What do you recommend I do at this point ?
I will try and talk to another lawyer and get their views on this issue. Can I retain my priority date and file under perm at this stage. I am so stressed, I waited four years for my labor and it is about to go to hell. :mad:

I entered USA from SFO on Aug 15 with AP. No questions asked. They only asked for AP and advised me to renew it as the current AP is expiring in December.

You should be OK, I am aware of same situation and they accepted the refiling.
Mine was reject due to "missing or incorrect fee" refiled on Oct 12, waiting. Strange part is we dont have any evidence of the original check. That makes it complicated..
Thanks for your info..and I wish you good luck. By any chance are you aware whether i need to send new fees or old fees? As a precaution I am going to sending the diff amount in a separate check.

Sen Sessions is not only person who is opposing Cir/skil.There are many people in the Senate are opposing. Everyone knows that congress is evenly divided on immigration. But 10 Senators can make a big difference if some compromise bill is introduced. So anything can happen in next 2 months in immigration. Sometimes short time is advantage as they may pass bill in a hurry and lot of provisions may be passed without big visiblity.
No one can predict at this point of time. The optimism
is thinning every day. So far nobody could come up
with anything that is agreeable.

USCIS has updated the processing dates pages of all the four service centers on September 28. Now the pages say that these dates are valid as of July 31, 2008 only.
If I remember well the processing dates information was more up-to-date earlier.
So looks like CIS has backtracked from their earlier published dates. They are telling us that they simply cannot tell what the current processing dates are. All they can tell us is that what applications they were processing on July 31.
What can we deduce from this? Is it good? Is it bad? Or no relevance?
It could be good as CIS might be processing July 2007 485 applications as of today? Or may be not.
Simply more confusion, as if as it is we were not confused enough.
Its hard to gauge what they are trying to do here by mentioning that the processing dates are accurate only as of July 31, 2008. But just attempting to make a few guesses. I might be totally wrong though

It should be from the date of approval, but USCIS seem to optimizing the process to make it valid from previous EAD expiry date

Not only would USCIS and its customers be iil-served by such a change in the process, but such a change would run contrary to the Ombudsman's recommendation that USCIS davate more resources to upiiont processing of adjustment applications and less to the processing of interim benefits. USCIS does agree with the Ombudsman that when a customer files a timely renewal application for an EAD, it would be preferable to synchronize the validity dates of new and expiring EADs. I had the same experience. However, my POE was Miami. No questions asked. My spouse and I just waited (with our USC daughter) in secondary inspection till they called my name and handed over our papers to me.

I had applied for my I-485 in the July 2007 fiasco and i have my EAD and AP renewed every 2 /1 years. My I-140 is approved in Mar 2008.
Now i got a full time opportunity with a company and i want to know which option is best for me. I have my H1 visa valid till 2011 November and i am now in 5th year of my H1.
Shall i use H1 transfer to move to new company which offered me full time job or use EAD?
Which is safer for me? And do i need to apply AC21 or is it optional? Most of my friends are saying to not to apply for AC21.
If i use EAD and if my I-485 has any issues, what will be my status?
