I'm a heavy Chronosync user but I carry my MacBook back and forth and synchronize them on the same LAN (at home in my case). Synchronizing them at different locations requires getting through routers and firewalls and needs something like VPN or Yazsoft's Sharetool. Synchronization is an action you must remember to perform before switching from one system to the other.
If Dropbox works for you then it is a much slicker approach. You can use shortcuts (also known as aliases or soft links) to make it appear that various folders in your Dropbox are located at various spots on your drive. Downside to Dropbox is it can cost money if you can't keep below the free limit, and apparently there are security issues with the service since they store your files on their site.

I think the Mini and Macbook will go C2D at the same time and this will be at the same time or just shortly after the Macbook Pro. With MBP line, I would expect the slowest CPU offering to be the 2.16GHz with an option of a 2.33GHz upgrade and the 2.33 will probably be standard on the 17". The Mini and Macbook will probably get the 1.6GHz and 1.83GHz C2D chips with an option to upgrade to the 2GHz C2D. At the 2GHz mark, it's still Core 2, but has half the cache and still a notch slower than MBP offerings. MBP may also have a 2GHz offering, but it will be the 4MB L2 cache chip.

My personal benchmarking tool is SETI@home (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/).
I let it rip on my 1.25GHz G4 last night and set a record for the MacRumors team: the "Average CPU time per work unit" was a new low: 5 hr 52 min 11.2 sec.
I can see that SETI@home made use of the dual processors because my elapsed time (5 hr 10 min per unit) was less than my CPU time!
Check out the numbers at http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_139691.html. My member name is (surprise surprise) "Doctor Q".

I've posted this before on the pic of the day thread but it is one of my favorite "contrast" shots to date.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdl-LM6URnSrEHOYo-I3yuXdGLvmbIy9c5-CMWh87SEiy5lpnqXlhnLiMuZciBoX9RrZWluFlsYE0a7fDozz_VWA-KGiqAOBk8qVehI4jwP6CX08_ZlU5XClFO0OPuH5-txUA4r4rDFjY/s1000/paint1.jpg
A nice contrast of warm and cold colors. The diagonal framing is severe enough to look deliberate and works well with the surreal lighting. If you were to take another whack at it, you might consider placing an object or a person in a window or in the doorway to serve as a focal point. As it is, there isn't really one place in the frame that serves as the primary visual pay-off or subject of the image. Also, you might try an exposure that gives you some more range of tonality, since the blacks are really crushed here, and they occupy large areas of the frame.

Just checked into an Apple Store in Salem, NH - they have high end Verizon iPad 2 and they have had them regularly. Asians have been scooping up the stores other versions each morning in cash sales (or purchasing mall gift cards and Apple gift cards).
They said consumer demand is much greater for AT&T (GSM) iPad 2 than Verizon.
I'll wait for my wifi iPad 2 to arrive in the mail sometime next week.

Apple would not put a capacitive home button. If anything, they'd remove the home button all together and use some of the new gestures that appeared briefly in iOS 4.3 to multitask and go home.

OK, so it appears any category with no super-category appears on the main page automatically. As it stands Mac Hardware, iPhone and iPod Touch and iPod and Apple TV are mostly done.
Articles that haven't been re-categorised yet are in Old Categories, though Software hasn't really been streamlined at all (just relevant stuff is in there as a subcategory) and the same applies to Networking and Internet.
Forum Posts needs moving to its new home as a "Special Category" but I can't do that. Guides has also been made a sub-category of "Old Categories", though as its a Special Category it doesn't seem to have disappeared (but I may be being impatient).

This update also makes you quit Safari too. I would like to know what the reasoning is there. hmmm
It probably wants to upgrade the Silverlight plugin? Can't think of another plugin.

So what do you think it should have?
Will only a redesign make it a real new phone? I think its great that Apple has had three good designs now. Some build up is necessary, otherwise the public will only look for redesigns and nothing else.
It will be a new phone with updated specs and maybe the casing. That's all it needs. When I said "that's about it," it wasn't a negative thing. When it comes to an iPhone, if they made those enhancements, that's plenty to guarantee another year of success. Especially alongside iOS 5.

I hope he won't be in too much troubles because of his idea.

Ugh, outlook syncing to Exchange 2010 is still slow. Emails hit my iPhone instantly, as well as Outlook 2010. As for the Outlook it takes up to 30 seconds. Maybe they need to improve EWS???
Very slow on Office too. My 1G iPod Touch was faster.
They made Mac OS office very similar to the windows counterpart in the 2011 version. Granted its not 100% the same but the gap between office 2011 on mac and office 2011 on windows is very tiny now.
They made 2011 similar to not 2010.

1: I believe so.
2: Jobs, probably.
Not an iPad. Not a publicity stunt either they both have a need for a low key meeting so things between them don't get much worse to the merriment of Redmond.

My apologies.
Ill explain what the link implied. The sarcastic joke that you posted is simply trite beyond belief, and as such I thought Id use similar methods of sarcasm to convey my thoughts on the matter. Now, the crux of my joke relies on the play of opposites (as your comment was anything but original) and meant to be informative. Im really sorry you didn't get my initial brevity, and Ill make sure to explain myself in full next time. Thanks so much, stay well:)
It is refreshing to see some intelligent wit on these boards every now and then. For that, I thank you sir.

University? Damn I thought they only had north park mall one and Knox store haha I'm still waiting for them to open the door for the mall at north park =\
Nope.. Close to TCU/the zoo (S Univ.). There's still only 6 of us... I'm a bit worried that there may not be a crowd until like noon. And I'm freezing. F.

I think he;s going by the fact that iOS is mentioned before Mac OSX in the add.
As someone earlier posted, I suppose those of us that use Apple computers as tools and not as a fashion item should just be grateful it is mentioned at all.
that's even worse!! lol being picky about what's said first in a line?!?! so by that mentalilty if they were switched, would he then complain about Mac OS being the focus of Apple from now on? it's absurd to judge something like that just from a sentance like that. they have to have one before the other, it seems alphabetical, thats it.

Only $20 savings for each iPad, when you buy 10. That is no better than the education discount on iMacs, when you buy them 1 at a time.

Outlook still only works with gmail email. There is no support for gmail calendars, contacts, todo's, etc...
Outlook is still unusable.
Yeah, what's up with that? Wasn't that one of the major additions announced for SP1? Or are we missing here something?

Push effectively doesn't work for me unless i switch alerts on...badges and sounds don't work and i really cant be bothered to start restoring/resetting/reformatting my phone because of one app. I've tried deleting and re-installing the app and thats as far as i'll go.
So its back to hourly email updates for me.
