The iPhone 4 was and still is the best
Well, if we were vehement about dismissing their review of the iPhone 4 as flawed then shouoldn't we be consistent and do the same for the iPad. If they're not worth paying attention to because of bad review then why laud them for picking the iPad as the best tablet. I'm just say'in.

So, I picked one up the other day. Trying to find the "sweet spot" is really annoying. I'm assuming your supposed to keep adjusting the 3DS and your head until you don't see two images anymore, and that's the so-called sweet spot?
Honestly, I don't really see that much of a difference. There's a little more depth to with 3D effect (but it's not in your face like a 3D ride at Disney World or like Avatar where stuff was floating in the air). The AR games are neat except they require a cardboard card (Really Nintendo? Wasn't this idea a huge failure with Animal Crossing e-Reader on the GameCube?)
Pilotwings is also pretty terrible. I can't wait for the Virtual Console to launch. I'm glad Super Mario Land will be a launch title. Hopefully, Nintendo will iron out the 3DS kinks in time.

I used to work as a cashier in the ladies shoes section of Marshall Fields (department store) at Oak Brook Mall (which also has an Apple store).
A cute young lady from the cosmetics department had been admiring me from afar. I had no clue about it. Then one or two salespeople in my department asked me if I was available (these salespeople were older married ladies so I guess it was "safe" for them to ask) and then they let me know that a pretty girl from the cosmetics department had a crush on me.
Anyway, I think I was either not interested or I was in a long-distance-relationship but nothing happened between me and cosmetics woman.

Are you living in 2005 or so? Recent SD cards already max out at 64GB. That is already ~100 CDs worth of data.
As I already posted, I had a brain vapour lock when I wrote..... it happens at my age... though I've noticed that it is not exclusive to any particular age...:D

I find it funny how investors continue to trust these "analyst" even though none of them have any insider information and are wrong 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time they have been correct was from publishing rumors as facts from stories they more likely read here on MacRumors regarding future products.

like this guy "Alex Gauna" who called 20 Apple Stores around the country and already determined that the new Apple TV is selling at a rate of 1 millions units a quarter, even thought Apple Stores never give out any information of how many units have been received or sold.

Yes - all they've decided to do is REVIEW it. They've overturned nothing. And the overturn rates are very low.
It's still on, no matter what you try to spin it as. A review is a review. This is the same as when an appeals court decides to hear a case, they haven't overturned anything until they've overturned something. But they can't overturn something without first REVIEWing it. ;)

Got my copy of Leopard and t-shirt! Start queuing about half four, maybe a little after.
I didn't expect that amount of people� I mean, I figured there'd be a lot of people, but :D. Also, congrats to the Apple store security people for blocking off the fools who started their own alternate queue from the opposite side of the store entrance. The organisation was crappy though. I don't know how many t-shirts there really were, but if anyone from Apple is reading this, next time someone should probably walk down the queue while it's not frantic and hand out numbered tickets for people to show as they go in.
I can't wait to get home and install it though! The front is so shiny� :O

Probably gonna find a seat in the store and install Leopard on our PB and MBP before maybe heading off to a pub. As I say though, we shall be a little late, won't be til around 6.30 until we are there...so probably gonna walk into an empty store! hehe!

I'd say your 500MB data allowance on O2 would be churned up in no time.
This should be exactly the same as using the Apple maps app in terms of bandwidth. Are people really killing their data plans using Google maps?

My friend had nothing but problems with his G5. The computer was constantly in for repairs and would spew out kernal-panics often. It ended up being a bad memory module, which was undetectable even with an extensive hardware test. The only reason he figure it out, is because he had lowned the additional RAM to a mutual friend while his G5 was in the shop for the last time.

Yes, that might be it. It is the only thing that hasn't been replaced. The Apple memory has been replaced but not the third party RAM, I'll exchange for a new ones.

thanks for welcoming me. i had a windows box running SETI all day but saw that Macrumors had a folding@home team so decided to join in. i have a question though, does having a dedicated GPU help out alot? Right the computer only has integrated graphics.

as for a dedicated GPU, it depends. you can run a GPU folding client, which will use your video card for folding, and you can still run a CPU client also. right now, nvidia cards work much better for folding.
