My brother has a android phone (:mad:) and if he buys an app from the android market and doesn't like it he can get a refund and it is deleted. I think it is in a 15 minute time gap.
However this would be a nice feature to the apple app store.
What's wrong with Android? My N1 does far more than what a 3GS can do... whatever floats your boat I guess.

Of course, another possibility is that the black iPhone has become thinner due to abrasion from everyday use. :p

How is that different from how Apple "acquired" iOS and OS X ? Yet no one is going to claim Apple didn't build those 2 OSes.
Again, some of you guys need to put the Google hate to rest. This is not the thread for it and to diminish their efforts on Chrome OS and Android is to do the same to OS X since the histories and origins are similar (acquisitions and open source projects).
And I will not stand by anyone who does that to Apple's efforts with OS X.
Google bought Android and with Schmidt on the Apple board hoovering up ideas from the iPhone, Android became what it is today.
Anybody who refutes that is either blind or stupid.
I loathe Google for their Microsoft-esque lack of imagination, just as much as I loathe Samsung and their utterly lazy attempt at R&D for their Galaxy S smartphones, the logic of which equates to:
iPhone 3GS design + we like it + let's copy it + bigger screen + cheap imitation look = Galaxy S.
iPhone 4 design + we like it + let's copy it + bigger screen + cheap imitation look = Galaxy S2.

I'm going to a MFA writing program in the fall; would love to see how this turns out. I use Word exclusively but can't shake the feeling that there's a better way to do things.

As far as light goes, where black is the absence of all color, white is the presence of all colors.
Clearly, this means all those extra colors in white are making the phone thicker.

We Mac consumers cannot go to the DOJ and claim we have no alternatives (just because your alternatives suck doesn't mean you don't have them.) I like your idea and I think it would work in many situations if there is indeed going to be a "transition phase" toward a new type of connection format. However, I'll stick by my prediction as it offers the maximum benefit for Apple and its third party partners while keeping the whole user interaction simpler and more elegant. The Nike situation is different in the respect that it is really the only way to make a product like that work�can't have a bunch of wires getting in the way of running. I know the iPod Hi-Fi probably isn't selling well enough for Apple to worry that a new connection format would hurt their own profit margin much, but there are a LOT of third party partners out there that have only recently given it their best because Apple has probably assured them that the dock connector will be around for quite some time, so third party R&D won't be a black hole or recurring expense in that area. It is what has helped the accessory market evolve to the point it has, which has benefitted Apple immensly-don't think Apple doesn't realize that fact! It is also what is missing from the also-ran MP3 manufacturers: not enough consistency to make it worth their investment to produce for those products.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Of course, it COULD have both....

When I got my iPhone 4, I was completely ecstatic with its speed in every app. It was so fast that I would send myself text messages as quick reminders, rather than using any app to do the same. Now, however, it no longer runs fast enough for that. I'm used to Wintel products running slower over time, but I don't expect this from Apple.

It will suck like all Microsoft products except for the MS Mouse that is good.
MS Natural Keyboard is also good.

Apple mouse is beautiful and using one is not very stressful for your hand. Scroll ball in the Mighty Mouse is the best I've used and there's no comparison.
The only bad Apple mice were the hockey pucks.

Uh no. This is a good thing for manufacturers. This means you have to buy another case. The last thing they want is for you to use the old one.
Uh yes, THis means case manufacturers also have to re-tool and build new cases that are otherwise the same save for a millimeter. I doubt they are real excited about doing this.

I am mentally jumping for joy!
My newest computer is a 17" 2006 iMac. I play (some of) the latest PC games, I develop games and I edit trailers/other mid-high endery stuff. My iMac is a beast for getting through this far but it's starting to really show its age.
As soon as the new models are out you can consider a 27" bought. Words can't express how much I'm looking forward to this.
Looking forward to owning my first glossy display too. I imagine it's beautiful for photo editing+gaming.
Glad to see another PC Gamer + Mac User on the forums. One day my friend, we could perhaps game on our Macs...one day:( *soft weeping

I'm sure in years to come, something like an iPhone will be that thin, or even thinner, but I don't believe that by 2012 we'll have the tech to actually do it.
Not till they can pack virtually all the circuity onto a few thin chips on one circuit board, and also switch away from a thick IPS screen which has a backlight and many layers to something like a Super AMOLED screen which is much thinner.
