Yes, like *this* will push them over the edge. They were doing fine with their clunky rubber-buggy brown players with four-way jog wheels, no PFS support, and installation failures, but when the Beatles aren't available, god will they suffer! :D

3. WiMax or 3G integrated with new MacBooks
4. Slingbox to iPhone (as already rumored)
5. Some sort of iTunes integration with in-flight entertainment
6. Super-light MacBooks
Last year was iPhoneWorld so I don't think Jobs will concentrate much on the iPhone this year. I also don't think it is Slingbox because that would mean a product developed by someone other than Apple would take center stage...and that will never happen. A light computer is not really "in the air." Apple is too clever for that to be what they mean. And I don't think this will turn into AppleTVWorld either (although I do expect AppleTV-related announcements).
No...I think the focus will be on the Macintosh at this year's MacWorld. Therefore I vote for #3. Imagine every new MacBook equipped with an AirPort card that can access AT&T's 3G network. No more searching for WiFi spots. You could access the Internet at fast speeds while cruising down the highway! Pretty cool. It would definitely catch the competition off guard.

It can cause a lot of problems when people misinterpret or don't understand it. And lots of modern believers do avoid reading the old testament, especially books of the law like Leviticus and Deuteronomy (because they can be hard to understand). "Jesus the Son of God" derives his very legitimacy through the alleged fulfilling of Old Testament prophecies. For a Christian to "avoid reading the old testament" is surely to deny his paternity.
For me personally, I enjoy reading the narratives of old testament figures like Abraham, David, Joshua, Moses, Solomon, Isaac, etc. etc. These people were far from perfect and much of what we learn from them is in taking note of the mistakes they made. It gives me comfort knowing that if God can use them then he can possibly use me despite the numerous mistakes I make.However, these people were Canaanites, worshipping the same pantheon as the other Canaanites, naming their sons after El and other Canaanite gods. The concept of monotheism was a late, exilic development. Throughout their pre-exilic history, the Hebrews in Israel and Judah were polytheistic. It says so on numerous occasions in the Old Terstament. The elohim of Genesis were "the gods": "let us make man in our own image". What can that possibly mean in a monotheistic cosmos?

Well, not bad of an upgrade. 1Gb standard on the 2Ghz models is about right.

Hasn't anyone played Brain Age on the Nintendo DS? The text does not hurt my eyes at all and I have perfect 20/10 vision. I can play that game for hours straight with no problem. Apple can conquer any resolution problems. The only thing they can't fix is how much people bitch.

What? How to do that? This is likely a buffer overflow exploit where a small part of the driver gets overwritten with hacker-incerted code, this code then runs inside the kernel at that point nothing can be done.
They will have to fix the defect that alowed the buffer to overflow. No other option.
This really shows the value of Open Source. So many peopl have loked for this type of stuff in Linux and other OSes that I'm sure most of it is been found and fixed but closed souce drivers are so hard to examine that there could be a hundred more of these waiting to be discovered.

Imagine subscribing to a magazine and having it downloaded off of iTMS like a podcast.
In short I would sell my first, second, third born sons, and cut off a pinky toe for Apple to release an e-book reader. This is Sony's attempt:

I cannot agree more. Apple would need to add another product to their line, not replace the actual iPod with something bulkier. Some people enjoy the iPod as a music player/portable HD. Why lose their business by breaking their favorite toy (by making it bigger to accomodate functions they might not care about)?

Like any other university student, I have tons of academic books and articles on top of my novels, short stories and such. Since I move and travel a lot, I often have to leave many - or most - of my books behind. With e-books, I could simply bring along a small, light-weight reader and I'd have my whole library with me, easily accessible, 24/7, no matter where I am. That would be beyond cool!!! A gadget integrating music and video too would be awesome, but adding video means an LCD, which means much shorter battery life, so there is a trade-off there: the do-it-all gadget that I am longing for just doesn't seem to be here yet.
Of course, you can read e-books on a laptop, but as has already been mentioned in this thread, reading from your laptop on the bus isn't enjoyable. It can be done, but few bother. I've had a laptop for over four years and I can't say I carried it around all that much. I need something smaller... but that can grow bigger when need be!!! I'll try to explain myself... When listening to music, you don't need a big screen and you don't want to lump around a big device for no reason. When watching video, a bigger screen is a good thing. However, an LCD isn't good for battery life and an e-ink screen isn't good for video, so how about having one of each on the same device? Or have two devices that integrate together flawlessly while addressing different needs?
For example, think iPod video with an LCD taking the whole "face" of the iPod. The device has a hard drive so you can carry a lot of stuff with you at all times. Then fold it open and you'll find an e-ink screen. The e-ink screen could be roughly twice as big as the LCD if it takes all of the surface inside, so you wouldn't be reading on a tiny screen. Maybe the e-ink screen could have its own flash memory, so the device could load the documents that you want to read on there. (Actually, I'm starting to think that the flash memory/hard drive combo could be cool whatever screen the iPod uses, but I'm getting off-topic.) But these new machines just make the hole in Apple's product line that much more obvious. No headless machine between $799 and about $2199? No machine between yonah dual 1.6 and xeon quad 2.0? No machine with swappable video card for under two grand??? You'll be able to get a smoking dual core conroe PC for probably half that.

How are going about mounting the powerbrick behind the desk? I would like mine off my desk aswell.

I mounted it to the back of the desk, worked really well, just take 2 very small (half inch or so) peices and stick it on. It cleans up pretty easily off plastic, just don't try putting it on dry wall or plaster. (Hence, why I put it on the back of the desk, it wont come off very well, but who looks at the back of the desk?)

Act I - New iMac with iSight and Front Row/Photo Booth
Act II - iPod and iTunes, sales, nano's resounding (1 million in 17 days) sales.
Act III - iPod (with video), TV Shows in iTunes, iTunes 6.

Why is he blaming it on us? Its "ultimate"ly his decision to use and post what information was given to him. He's the one that needs to decipher between good and bad tips. Not to just take anything anyone says as fact and then publish on his website.

Why so many negatives, I love 3D stuff when it's done correctly. Lots of fun in my opinion. Though I really doubt Apple would put a 3D screen on the iPad.

Anyone knows if the mac pro allows us to upgrade to PCI graphics cards bought from retail stores? Will there be any driver issues? Do graphics card vendors include Mac drivers on their installation disc? Never seen one that does though..

I sooo regret installing itunes 7 now. And you can't even revert back to the old one. With the amount of music I have, it's freaking time consuming having to scroll down to find the artist I wanna listen to since the Artist's name is repeated for each album, so there's thousands and thousands of things to scroll through.
And now its impossible to choose to listen to, for example, only Clapton and Hendrix. Before I could just command+click each artist or even album and there, instant quick playlist. Now I have to create an actual playlist, and probably remember to delete it or else I'll end up with tons of lists.
All in all, this is visually nice upgrade but the usability is down the pan drastically. Its virtually unusable and VERY time consuming.

You can already get a MB with more RAM and larger HDD so what would be the point of that? A 13 inch MBP would make more sense.
